We got some work to do still since we have to hit page 41 to get this thing to roll over. Seems the easiest way to get a good discussion going is to argue over who's stronger: Thor or Hulk? Discuss.

It just past 2:02 AM where I am, most of the time my day starts late so it usually ends late as well.

Nuh uhhh, everyone knows Blade is the strongest!

I'M....the strongest

So, what are you guys up to now?? its 2:57am here

I'm was playing Star Wars: Old Republic pvp. Huttball is fun when the person with the ball stands right in front of the goal line when it is 5-0 and dances. DANCES then gets knocked off and has to toss the ball to me.

I almost felt like not scoring just to piss him off but meh ending the match was a better idea for Xp grinding ideals.

Random pallet cleanser.

hahah sweet..im watching supernatural. Obsessed with the show. On season 5 now haha

I should really watch Supernatural.. everyone says it is good but I have so many other shows to watch!

I was watching GoT, playing some avengers alliance and reading a little.

^ It depends on the writers.

Wolverine goes head to head w/ Hulk in one issue, and then gets knocked out by Colossus by one punch in another.

" Dont I know my Marvel comics at all?"

Yea the ones I read back in the day and I gave a example from one. Wonder Man, whos pretty much at Thors physical strength level, couldnt bring Hulk down with the help of Iron Man and Submariner.

Which doesn't necessarily mean that Wonder Man is physically weaker. I could also mean that Wonder Man doesn't have the fighting skills, the killer instinct or the durability that Hulk (or Thor) has.
BTW, when Hulk gets really angry, he is stronger than Thor, Hercules or Wonder Man. I never doubted that.

That THOR music video posted by WildCat just reminded of something, did any of you watch MC Hammer's THOR review last year?

Class 100 nowadays doesn't mean tehy can lift 100 tons, btw. It means they are at the incalculable level.

From Marvel Database:

"Superhuman Strength: In addition to being the God of Thunder, Thor is also the Norse God of Strength, as such he is physically the strongest of the Norse gods[15][22][23][24][16][25] and one of the most powerful beings in the Universe.[26] His strength has been called unlimited.[14] His feats include easily lifting over a millions tons without any effort,[27] crumbling Uru into dust,[25] defeating and overpowering superhumans as strong and powerful as the Silver Surfer, Namor, Juggernaut, Hercules, the Hulk, the Red Hulk, the Sentry, and Gladiator in single combat, lifting the Midgard Serpent,[28] who was large enough to coil around the Earth from head to tail multiple times over and crush it in its grip.[22], overpowering cosmic entities when pressed in battle and physically destroying stars, planets, and moons with only his fists.[29][30] Thor also possesses a magical belt that doubles his natural strength. Thor is also capable of entering into a state of Berserker Rage known as Warrior's Madness, which will temporarily increase his strength and stamina tenfold but will only do so in desperate situations because it threatens his sanity.[31][32][33][34]
Despite the fact that he always restrains and holds back his vast strength against mortals, he has been capable of stalemating an enraged Hulk in strength (depsite the fact that the Hulk was constantly increasing in strength every moment) for hours without tiring at all and while restraining himself as always,[35] and knocking out the Hulk,[36] How much strength Thor truly holds back against mortals is made clear, as he was capable of knocking out Namor with a single blow (despite Namor being fully hydrated and it was raining),[37] easily defeating Bi-Beast (whose strength is said to equal the Hulk's),[38] easily overpower the Red Hulk (who killed the Abomination, overpowered the Hulk, punched and injuring Uatu, killed the Grandmaster, and was able to absorb the Power Cosmic), nearly rendering the Juggernaut uncouncious in under a minute after negating his mystical defenses,[39] and defeated both the Thing and an enraged Hulk at once in unarmed combat using only his vast physical strength.[40]"

[...]

"Strength Level: Class 100+ ; Thor possesses vast physical strength, to which the exact limit is unknown, but he is able to lift far in excess of 100 tons effortlessly. He has shown enough strength to move and lift objects that are as heavy as the Earth and shatter entire planets with his blows. Thor is physically one of the strongest beings to ever walk the Earth and one of the most physically powerful beings in the Universe."

I think it's because of the Embargo; he's not allowed to post his thoughts on it until a certain amount of time has passed, plus this is just me thinking here, but one would assume that it'd be best to avoid the forums when it's more than likely that people will PM and ask you relentlessly on how the film was when you're not supposed to talk about it publicly.lol

Will do WildCat, will do :word:

I think the whole concept of Thor and Hulk is that they are treated as equals. Always has been and always should be.

Of course, there are stories where you see Hulk defeating Thor. And vice versa. But when there are two fighter who are supposed to be equals, it is only logical that one of them can beat the other on a good day. Most of their fights are stalemates though.

And while there are many fights between Thor and Hulk in the comics, we only have one fight between them in the movie world. That fight has to be representative. It cannot end in any other way than in a stalemate.

Yes, Hulk is stronger, because he gets stronger the angrier he gets. Thor, on the other hand, has the fighting experience of many centuries which Hulk hasn't. And Thor has a unique magical weapons, one of the most powerful weapons in the universe.

And if I'm right, that particular fight that showed Hulk taking on Herc, Namor, Wondy and Iron Man at the same thime was about the Mindless Hulk. That's a version of the Hulk where the Banner personality has been totally eliminated by scientific or magical means. The Mindless Hulk is pure rage, nothing else. And since rage fuels Hulk's strength, of course that version of the Hulk is awfully strong.

And I have to point out that in an earlier story, when the Hulk was the Mindless Hulk on a different occasion, Thor was able to go toe to toe with him until Doc Strange intervened. That says something about Thor IMO.

I agree on all counts, great post Hans!:thor:

Wow who wrote this? Thor isn't that powerful and there is no way he could defeat Surfer or Gladiator, seeing as they operate at well over FTL and Thor doesn't.

Hehehehe it's funny because Thor's beaten them both far more times than they've beaten him.

It also should be noted that Thor's able to swing Mjonir at faster than light speeds so that's not really a factor.

Whenever he beat them they couldn't have been fighting at their full capabilities or Thor was amped up somehow.

Thor's never actually been shown to be FTL, it's just been said. He can fly FTL, but there is a difference between flight speed and reaction/reflex. He's consistantly shown to be around hypersonic speeds, around same speed as Quicksilver. He's best speed feat is that time he dug that trench.

Surfer and Gladiator are hundreds of times faster than light, Gladiator is so fast a universal wide time dilation had no effect on him. They can explode planets effortlessly and have done so on numerous occasions. I don't see how Thor can beat either of them or is more powerful than them if we go by feats.

Ok if that's what you want to believe go ahead, although it's been proven otherwise time and time again.
