Bucky is not a co-lead though he has a large supporting role. As reportedly do Black Widow and Black Panther and maybe Falcon.

M&M said if you read the script and look at the call sheet it's by far Cap #1 then Tony #2 with them having a majority of the lines with Cap still as the clear lead.

I really don't care about Spider-Man's power level. But if people are expecting him to effortlessly pwn Cap in his own film without Cap or someone else on his team getting some licks in, they're gonna walk away disappointed.

Nah, first SM, then BP, then IM and maybe if they have some time BW will all kick Cap's ass in this film. Then Crossbones and Sharon will murder him.

As a Cap fan I could not be more excited! :o

I'm actually concerned about the film making Cap and Bucky look bad comparatively. It makes sense to show BP as a badass (both to honour the character and to promote his film), but those two are the main character and almost co-lead of the film. They deserve better than become Worf-effect fodder.

I don't know. Cap and Bucky already look bad by comparison. I mean, did you see how kewl BP costume is? It's so sick.

Cap is chasing Bucky, trying to save his friend, but Black Panther is in hot pursuit and says "On your left as he passes Steve. :hehe:

Cap and BP fight. Black Panther scratches Cap's shield, kicks the shield out of Cap's hand and effortlessly knocks him out. :o

Then Black Panther beats up Iron Man. He scratches the hell out his armor and rips out Tony's arc reactor. :oldrazz:

Yeah, kind of makes him a little OP if you ask me.

Nah. No more so than the other people in the movie in billion dollar suits of armor. I don't see anyone complaining about Vision being overpowered, when he's made of vibranium.

Yeah, it's like chainmail (BP suit) vs solid plate armor (Cap's shield). Chainmail is almost imposible to cut, but offers almost no protection against blunt force.

If they don't want BP overpowered to Jupiter and back his suit should work similarly.

BP was taking billets head on though. They were bouncing off his suit.

Ultimately, it is what the writers say it is. We caught a short glimpse of BP smacking Buck. What does that mean? We don't really have any context. I predict they make BP look good because he's a cool character, but mostly to promote his movie. We'll all be looking forward to that.

Whoever said comic book characters were different ability wise was right on the dot. Comic book Thor would just smoke IM and Cap if he had the mind to do so. He went toe to toe with the Hulk and was winning in one comic (and without his hammer).

Rightfully, MCU movies are entertainment AND promotion. Remember when we first got a glimpse of Thor's hammer.......whoa.......THAT was double cool.

He doesn't pass Steve, he's already ahead. And Steve is more worried about the safety of drivers than BP pr Bucky are, he's hindered by conscious and morality. :oldrazz:

Obviously, Wakanda gives away shoddy materials as gifts. Ergo BP is Tacky.

Someone shakes a box of cat food thus distracting Panther and then they lay him out with an OD of catnip in gas form. :o

Actually, that's just basic science. It's why for a long time people used diamonds to cut other diamonds.

The mask is filtered, like Stark's. That'd be pretty dumb to go into battle with a full face helmet and not have some use for it.

He kind of is. He already is enhanced from the plant so he's like IM with SS serum without the ability to shoot lasers and fly. But then he's a Prince like Thor, a scientist like Tony and a trillionaire. If he was a woman people would be calling him a Mary Sue. :o

It was a joke but of course it means Steve's shield should be able to slice up his suit ergo...

making it vulnerable and susceptible to gas :o

People do all the time. They like their black characters to be street level and not super smart.

We've seen nothing to indicate it can't. In fact there's been nothing shown of their fight other than a still drawing.

making it vulnerable and susceptible to gas

Unless he ya know, shuts it off.

It's not because he's black or not just street level or because he's super smart but because they made him everything. I think it's obvious why they did because they could not at the time make him lesser and have his importance be acknowledged by all, he needed to be that great in all those different fields. Unfortunately it makes him at times seem like a Mary Sue, like Batman.

Eh. People seem just fine with Batman.

They do but I find him pretty off putting in his most of his leveled up iterations. BAT GOD is bleeping obnoxious and boring.

Or it could be that he was just made to be as formidable as most other heroes a the time.

Keep in mind that Spider-Man has superhuman abilities, can stick to wall, has Spider-Sense that makes him nearly untouchable, and is a genius in his own right.

Back in the 60's a lot of heroes where jacks of all trades, and today a lot of them still are, it just a matter of what abilities any given writer wants to play up at any given time.

That's a good point...MCU Cap is legit super human. We've seen him throw grown men into the air with one hand and throw a motorcycle.

Though in the comics he has similar feats, they just continue to call him peak human for some reason.

Comics have that problem in general because humans are regularly depicted as doing things that are physically impossible, even with years of training.

Batman should be confined to a wheelchair or hospital bed given the number of nearly fatal injuries he's managed to survive. He's been shot, stabbed, bashed in the head, thrown off buildings, nearly drowned, and even had his spine broken, but he's still perfectly fine because karate training or something like that. People hate that movie, but The Dark Knight Rises is probably the only thing remotely close to a realistic depiction of Batman, because he's told by a doctor that years of doing all that crap has completely destroyed his body.

Hawkeye and Green Arrow regularly make shots that would be impossible to do even with decades of experience and top of the line equipment (which is why the Ultimate books just said "**** it" and revealed Clint had cybernetic implants).

So when you look at the ridiculously stupid feats comics say normal humans should be capable of just so long as they do some push-ups and karate lessons, classifying people like Cap as "peak human" is sadly understandable.

I think it is time for me to go dark.

Gonna visit the forums when the reviews start popping

My bad, wrong forum, haha!

Well, we'll just have to call him a Gary Stu instead. :o

He does seem pretty flawless. I don't know that much about the character. Does he have any vulnerabilities, character flaws, etc?

Also, I don't really like the phrase "Mary Sue." I think it's overused and too broad of a term. It's usually used by insecure males afraid of powerful women in movies.
