The more I look at Cyborg design, the more it grows on me. And I liked it initially. Really dope.
GCU: Gotham City University I presume?
My take on the reason why Cyborg is in this movie is since his creation required a Motherbox, or the Motherbox saved his life, whichever way you look at it, and he will be able to communicate/sense Motherbox activity/presence. This would be a key role if the Motherboxes are the Macguffin of the story. Also, his abilities would help with hacking into electronic systems, etc.
His ability, knowledge and communication with earthly or other worldly technology will bring a lot to the table IMO.
He's smaller than I expected with his robot parts.
I dont think this Cyborg has both his arms(thats a shame for him).
He'll eventually learn how to regen his whole body to it's pre-accident form.
Yeah as Cyborg he seems a bit short. The actor is huge in real life.

I dont think this Cyborg has both his arms(thats a shame for him). But its a very comic-accurate look.Come to think of it,Snyder has nailed the "look" of the characters so far.

I hope not, as I hated that. You can make a potent character arc of a person coming to terms with his own tragedy and using his disability that prevents him from having normal life to do good, but no, lets go for "hey, I'm magically fixed, but I can still use cyborg tech when I want to. Cool!". Screws up the character greatly.

No it doesn't. It makes it more compelling. Vic doesn't know whether he's still human or just a machine pretending to be human. I think that's better than "I have no genitals so I'm forever alone".
Cyborg will appear in The Flash, sources tell Variety.
Its not known how substantial a role the hero will play in the film. But its another signal of DC Comics and Warner Bros. ambitions to build a sprawling, cinematic universe to compete with Marvel Studios, one where heroes and villains will pop up in solo spinoff adventures, as well as lend support to other costumed allies. Cyborgs appearance in The Flash and next years Justice League are intended to whet audiences interest in the character, building toward a potential, standalone Cyborg film in 2020.
The film will begin shooting this year in London, and is expected to open in 2018.
If the Cyborg stuff leans more into the 'digital hero' or 'connected hero' instead of just another robocop, then there's a ton of potential there, completely fresh territory.
Good news!Cyborg to appear in "The Flash" movie (EXCLUSIVE) http://bit.ly/2aZ1Myk
