Ben Affleck IS Bruce Wayne/Batman - Part 3

Yea there is no way they do that. And that's why I am baffled as to why they made Batman old in this universe. Should have gone with a younger one.

Just one among the many bad choices made. Killing Superman in the 2nd film, casting Jesse Eisenberg as Lex, Leto as Joker, Doomsday in BvS, etc.

The only good things they've done is casting Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Henry Cavill as Superman. But even then, Henry's talent and potential was wasted when his character was written as a wet blanket in MoS and BvS.

Completely agree with all your points. Hopefully some good changes will happen soon.

Goes without saying the real victims of all this are the women who have suffered from the abuse, but holy **** on a Sunday, DC fans just cannot catch a break. Some days I wish I was born with a different wired brain and I was a big Marvel fanboy instead. The grass looks so damn green over in Marvel Land.

I'm really not a fan of a Flashpoint film unless it is a justice lrague film. They should just go with their being more than one Joker and find some other way to either retcon Jesse as Lex or his personality.

As long as no more accusations pile up on him, I do think this will blow over. He was young and stupid, and made a mistake. Groping isn't cool at all, but it could be worse in so many different ways. He apologized for it, which is the best course of action to bury it. And who the hell knows what's going to happen between now and Justice League's release. The next big thing could blow up and draw attention away from Affleck.

What should not happen, is that Justice League shouldn't be judged or avoided because someone in the cast/crew did something stupid and terrible. That isn't fair at all to the hundreds of cast/crew that worked hard on the film.

Well said. It was similar back when Bryan Singer was actually being sued for sexual abuse in 2014. I never thought about skipping Days of Future Past because Singer might have been a scumbag, which as far as we know he isn't.

It will be a Justice League film the same way cap civil war was an avenger movie me thinks.

I feel like I say this several times a day around here...

But are we really just going to believe EVERYTHING we hear?

Everything?

Like Paradox said...evidence hasn't entered into this conversation.

That's it? You don't like any of the other casting decisions at all?

Most of them I can take it or leave it. I love Amy Adams, but I don't like her version of Lois Lane, but maybe that can be chalked up more to the writing of her character. I wanna say I like Jason, Ezra and Ray, but I wanna wait til I actually see the movie before I judge.

Also I have the unpopular opinion that Margot Robbie is not a good Harley Quinn.

Way to tell that to a person with a Margot Robbie Harley Quinn avatar. :funny: :o

Never forget Jason.

Sorry if the info has already been posted but Annamarie Tendler, wife of comedian John Mulaney, has now also come forward via twitter saying That Ben grabbed her ass at a 2014 Golden Globes afterparty.

I don’t even know what to say anymore.

How many people in the industry have had not a wink of sleep in the past 72 hours? Who's checking their twitter and news feeds every 5 minutes, thinking this is the time they hit the refresh button, and see their big face on the front with the words rape or abuse under it.

Recast. Now. I’m done with this clown.
I figure it's going to happen regardless. But this situation at least gives the studio a chance to recast and save face. Now the backlash wouldn't be as bad.

I still stand by my guns that Armitage would be a boss Batman..but he's probably too old for a traditional Batman take. Karl Urban would be a good, if slightly conventional choice..Jake Gyllenhaal is in the perfect age range..and has played creepy before.

Just have a quick CGI prologue stating The Batman is in a different universe than the current Justice League. Problem solved.

They recasted Rhodey no problem. Don't need a multiverse explanation for a recasted batman if he's gonna be the same character, just a different actor. But damn, Affleck is gonna be hard to top.
