I hope Beast goes straight up to the Avengers. There'll probably be at least two mutants there. He could be one.
Eh. I hope not.I hope Beast goes straight up to the Avengers. There'll probably be at least two mutants there. He could be one.
The way we're on the same wave lengthI'd like to see Scott and Jean starting like this:
I think it's cute. With the cowl too.
And speaking of evolution, I very much hope to see Scott have a Luke/Anakin Skywalker-esque journey in the MCU:I know many have deep nostalgia for the Lee outfit, especially after its broad use across so many mediums from cartoons to home video/arcade games.
But, at least in the first film I want to see a look inspired by any version with the full cowl.
Of course my druthers would be to have the X-Men as a much more mysterious force to the public at large as compared to the Avengers characters at first in the MCU, and costumes that help to obscure identities fits that bill.
Plus I think it helps to add to the "strangeness" of the Mutants to the outside world. If anyone has to interact with a person dressed like that whose eyes can level a mountain it takes things into a different vibe for some reason in my mind.
I wouldn't mind at all an evolution of Scott's look over three-four movies and any classic look that has his hair uncovered would look sweet in live action, but to start... Gimme the cowl.
Same for all if they go O5.
Please no talk of hashtags or social media or twitter or facebook. We've been discussing the idea of Xavier (in between the 5-year gap) building a little entourage for himself. Maybe Forge upgrading Cerebro, inventing his hover-chair. Somebody suggested Dr. Reyes as his personal physician. Today I thought of having Jubilee as part of this crew, working as Charles' social media coordinator. It would give her a prominent spot in the cast and give her a job she's uniquely suited for that isn't "new-kid-who-cant-control-her-powers-and-messes-up-all-the-time." Charles would do a TV appearance and she would track the hashtags, that kind of thing. She may even help scour the internet to look for recruits for the 2nd team.
Not just the discomfort, but not being able to act through the cowl.If they don't mind keeping their whole head covered and sweaty, sure. There's fabrics that work.
I'm not at all desperate to have these included, but Facebook is one of the biggest companies in the world, about 3 times bigger than Disney. It's well past being a fad. Please no talk of hashtags or social media or twitter or facebook.
Sure they're very relevant today but that's what the writers of Iron Man thought too when they put a "Myspace" joke in their script.
Apples and oranges. The X-Men will likely deal with public reaction to mutants, social justice topics, and other things that social media has a huge influence on today. Couple that with the fact that many of them are teenagers/young adults who are much more in-tune with this kind of stuff, and it fits.Fortunately, seems like Feige et al agree with me. Aside from Iron Man 1's rookie mistake of the "Myspace" mention, not one name drop of Twitter or Facebook or Hashtags in the 12 Years since, in the MCU. Can you imagine if Pepper mentioned Snapchat in Iron Man 3?
