That's what I've thought for awhile. Whatever about her coverage elsewhere I do tend to pay attention to what she says on DC related content.....though her issue with Henry Cavill is still befuddling.

Yeah...I know this film ain't for me and all that, but still, that's just not good casting, imo. Titans is generally terrible, but Esai Morales will probably remain the best live-action Slade for quite a bit.

Titans did a Great job in the suit to be honest. But in terms of character I think I prefer the Arrow version. At least if you don't include the love triangle business.

Esai Morales as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke was easily the best thing about Titans: Season 2 next to Superboy and Krypto. The writing was bad throughout most of that season, but his performance was on point and I'd much rather see a spinoff show with him than any future seasons of Titans.

Haven't seen enough of Joe M. as Deathstroke to really have an opinion one way or the other. I'm surprised others do.

I can't really judge him either since he barely had a minute of screentime in JL 2017.

I mean none of us have, but its the potential that he does have that's so exciting speculate about, especially after how great he looked in that costume for those brief minutes. That's exactly why the guy needs his own HBO Max show or even his own movie so we can see it.

I think everyone expected a Josh Brolin type in the role and Joe M doesn’t look grizzled enough even though he is physically more than a match for Batfleck.

I liked what I saw and would love to see more of his character.

I don't know man I think Manganiello could definitely pull off that grizzled look. He's already a pretty imposing/scary looking dude as is just like Mamoa and physically he can easily stack up to Batfleck. Just imagining the kind of fight scenes you could have between those two directed by someone with Gareth Evans level of talent is an opportunity I hope Warner Bros doesn't miss out on.

Deathstroke can be a tough character to pull off. I think Morales and Manu Bennett are closer to how I would see him in the comics. Slade is a veteran guy, he's been around for a while, he should look aged in the sense that you know he's a guy in his 50's, but he's also a physical animal, in peak condition, moves like he's still in his youth. So it's a matter of getting an actor around 50ish, give or take, who looks like he has experience on his face, yet still looks younger than his age at the same time.

Mangin... Mangena... Joe looks like he could still be 38-40 even though he is 43. I think he has the physicality down, but he still looks a little youngish, so even with the greying of the hair, it still looks like artificially gray hair rather than more natural like it did with Morales and Bennett (though if memory serves correct, Slade's hair turned white/gray due to the experiments, could be wrong on that). Slade should come across as older than Batman.

Either way, I'm sure he'll still be fun to watch.

I think Joe can be plenty grizzled and be good in the role. I know Joe from True Blood (when the show hadnt fallen off the rails yet) and he played a grizzled werewolfman really well.
