God, I hope it doesn't happen. Not only it doesn't make sense, but it would be based on one of the worst stories/events I've read from Marvel.

I don't see it happening, at least not if the Avengers consist of Sam, Bucky, Rhodey, Monica, Hulk, Thor and Carol. Sam would be sympathetic to the plight of the mutants. Someone on Reddit said that he believed that Rhodey, due to his military background would be anti-Mutant, and I don't believe that would be the case with Rhodey. Rhodey would treat mutants the same way he treats aliens, aligning with those who are good and fighting against those who are bad. I don't know how any of the newer heroes would treat mutants (although I think Shang Chi will be more like the others) and out of the current crop of MCU heroes, I do think Dr. Strange would be cautious around them, not really sure if they are threats he has to stop.

I can see it being Dark Avengers/Thunderbolts vs. X-Men though. I would suspect that Thunderbolt Ross would be 100% Anti-Mutant and would use the Thunderbolts to hunt down all mutants, regardless of whether or not they are good or bad.

It would be absolutely hilarious if he yelled “looks like team rocket is blasting off again!” And then disappears with a twinkle

I’m neutral on this topic but how do you feel about Scott Summer in the MCU being in a relationship with Emma Frost instead of Jean Grey? It’s happened in the comics and some fellow X-fans I talked to said it could be a possibility that they want to hold off on Jean Grey

I'm not interested in any alternate love interests for Scott or Jean. Not when their relationship with each other still hasn't gotten the treatment it deserves.

the same can be said literally for all the key x-men couples.
Fox had the rights for 20 years and did s**** with them.

Comic book romances can be hard if the movie studio would rather focus on their pet characters unrequited romance rather than an actual romance.

That is a good excuse if you only do one movie.
But if you have the rights to a comic property as the X-MEN during 20 years and do 7 ensemble movies, some solos and 2 shows.......no, the excuse doesnt work anymore.

It will be interesting though I think not real surprising if one or two actors' careers take off, become megastars, and then the new series does heavily focus on them.

I don't think it'd be interesting to watch Marvel Studios repeat the same mistakes Fox made.

Romances had always been a part of FOX X-Men movies. It just wasn't the right ones (Logan and Jean, Bobby and Rogue (and Kitty), Beast and Mystique).

Romances should be a part of the X-Men movies. But not too big.

Regarding Emma, starting on Scott and the X-Men's side is robbing her from a lot of character development and an interesting journey.

Seriously some of those decisions Fox/Singer made was so random. Don’t put Rogue and Gambit together, one of the most prominent couples in X-Men outside of Scott and Jean, no put Rogue with Iceman.

Have her cry about him and not being able to kiss him for Atleast 3-4 movies too. So silly.

I hope we get Scott and Jean and Gambit and Rogue, those are the big 2. Then also some between X-Men and non-mutants like Beast and Trish Tilby to show some of the issues that can occur in that scenario.

In the main X-Men movies, yeah. They're the ones the should play a more significant role.

But overall, other couples I'm excited to see are Mystique and Destiny, Rictor and Shatterstar.

I've been watching Invincible lately (I haven't finished it yet, pleease no spoiler), and I kept thinking "I wish there was an X-Men animation as good as this". I'm not talking about the gore, obviously, but the show is overall pretty amazing. Now that Feige is overseeing everything, could we get animated shows as good as this?

And what about the cast? Can you imagine an A-List cast like that doing the voices?

I'd imagine they'd go the CG route like star wars and what if. Which I'm not against. But they should establish a cartoon continuity that isn't just mcu lite.

Agreed with the big 2.
But Id like to see Betsy and Warren too, since Fox didnt develop them even as separate characters

Yeah step 1 do the characters properly haha. I would like to see them go off on a Crimson Dawn style story on Disney + too to help flesh them and their connections out at some point too. I'd like to see Scott and Jean together from Day 1 and be the most solid couple. Then Rogue and Gambit to meet each other soon after to start their tumultuous relationship, even if they don't like each other straight away. Psylocke and Archangel I'd expect a slower burn and to develop fully later. Good variety this way IMO.

Mystique and Destiny seems like an obvious one to do. I think they need to make Mystique look or feel quite different to what we've had to date as they need to make her feel fresh after so much exposure in thx X-films.

I really want the best animation quality and the budget committed to that. I'd be really excited if they did that. I don't particularly need A-list voices as long as the voice actors are good, although if they used the actors that will play them in the MCU that would be pretty cool lol.
