You know, im sitting here, drinking this all in and im wondering if its either true that being on the internet really makes people dumber or if those incel clowns like yellowflash, critical drinker etc are really effective in poisoning peoples minds that easy.
Because i see stuff like people not getting Teelas writing and im sitting here going: "What? How? Its just 5 episodes of basic and simple storytelling"
I mean dude, of course you are not supposed to be overly into Teela in terms of the character...the Woman instead of facing the pain of loss, betrayal etc decided to be angry at everything and everybody...that is not a likeable attitude.
Its not like the stumbled the character into this, this is simple storytelling to go from A to B in terms of character growth.
Or what i see too is people being upset that she is pissed at evil lyn...ehm you mean the backstabbing trickster character we cant be sure has changed her ways, despite us seeing and finding out more about her than Teela?
Really, that is looking really for some like a good criticism?
This is He-Man for the love of god, not shakespeare with tons of twists and turns.
How the hell can people not follow and understand a simple 5 episode development?
This is a sequel to a glorified toy commercial show with paper thin motivations and characters...who in his right mind expected more from the characters?
I mean what the hell did people expect from Skeletor as a motivation? He is evil and wants power for the love of all that is pure in this world.
Teelas character design complain, yeah yeah we get it...buff women scare fragile guys...no big deal, something we have to live with sadly.
I get the feeling this is one of those things were people either listen too much to the outcry than focusing on what goes on in front of the screen or mainly just want to be angry at for no real reason.
At least the most common complaints i have seen so far, look to me almost too much like copy and paste, as if people just repeat what they read and heard instead of it being their own thoughts.
I get the thing about Smith and the Marketing making a mess of things, that i can understand.
But it also seems like people blow this up a bit.
Because which movie, show, game is doing a perfect job?
Either they spoil too much, show too little, paint a different picture, set a tone that the product then doesnt have etc.
In the end it is what it is, some like it and some not...to each their own i guess.
Personally im super happy we get new He-Man stuff in 2021...who would have thought that ever being the case.
I really hope this leads to the Franchise become big again and a steady thing in various entertainment sectors.
