No Way Home “I'm just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man." - Tom Holland as Peter Parker (Spider-Man)

On the right, an outfit from the Spider-Man Lotus fanfilm. Holland's outfit is so flat by comparison.

It doesn't even look like he's there :csad: :csad: :csad:

This is, for me, by far the biggest thing holding me back from loving his movies (small other common complaints aside), instead of only liking / enjoying them. It just basically depresses me to no end the treatment that Tom's Spidey / Suit has gotten in his films. It's so unnecessary, (which makes it even weirder they spend the money to do it) and just deflates my viewings of the 2 new films every time Spidey's on screen(!):waa: (although I still like the movies so that's a pretty big testament to Tom ha, the writing aside)

It’s an impressive fan made costume that draws heavily from the comics. That being said I love the Suit from Homecoming

Very humble mr Holland.
I can't wait for him to play the role until he is 40, when his other films turn out to be flops.

Sony should offer a lot of money to Maguire and make Spider-Man 4 if Holland stops playing the character.

The problem is, I’ve never gotten the sense that Maguire enjoyed making these movies. Let me rephrase that. He liked working on them, he just never seemed to care about everything else that comes along with it. He’s an actors actor. I don’t see Maguire ever stepping back into this role full time.

Tom and Andrew seem to eat up the fan attention and play up to it well…particularly Andrew. If this series continued to move forward I could easily see them using Andrew for it. The dude just seems to genially love the universe and playing the character and embraces the “crazy fanboy nerd” aspect of the fanbase and completely soaks it in.

Nothing against Tobey…I just don’t see him as the type to want to step back into this universe full time.

I'd prefer they go with Tom's suggestion and introduce Miles Morales. Audiences really like him, and a live-action version would do a lot to drum up hype for a future film.

Meh. Miles is ok. I want to see more Peter Parker but they may go with miles anyway which is fine I guess but I still want more Peter Parker . Actually want to see him fight venom

I actually really like Miles in the comic, but I hate him in Into the spiderverse...

You might be right about Tobey but I'm not sure they would bring Garfield back for a solo movie. TASM2 was the reason the character went to MCU and there is less nostalgia for it. I think Tobey might do it if Raimi was directing and also Kirsten Dunst recently said she would like to come back. They could probably demand a lot of money. But I don't think Holland stops playing the character.

I don't know why they shouldn't do it.

WB is making movies with multiple different Batman and Joker without even explaining it and everyone is ok with it.

Something of note, in Holland's GQ interview, he mentioned that on the first day of shooting, a key actor had yet to sign on and was unsure if they wanted to return. It's pretty obvious who said actor was.

Tobey had all the leverage. They couldn't do this without him.

And I'm sure Holland and Garfield did this for free, huh?

You were making it seem like a criticism that the dude was getting paid. That seemed weird to me ,that's all:funny:

It probably was Tobey, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if the key actor in question was actually Garfield. In reflecting on his time on those movies, Garfield seemed pretty bitter about his experience on them and he seemed more than relieved that he didn’t have to play the role again.

Maybe but I honestly believe that if Andrew didn't want to return he would have made it clear to them. An actor holding like this sounds more like they're interested but only if the price is right.

Maybe, again, it probably was Tobey but I still think it’s possible Garfield vacillated on returning or not. He was open about role coming with a lot pressure, and dissatisfaction he felt with the commerce side of it all, so he didn’t want to re-open that old wound and came back. I certainly don’t think it was an automatic yes to returning to the role. It probably did take some convincing for him to return.
