No Way Home Spider-Man: No Way Home Spoiler Discussion Thread

Seeing Tobey and Andrew again was insane. Especially Tobey, and the entire audience, including myself, went absolutely insane. I also think Dafoe and Molina stole the show in terms of villain performances. They proved, once again, why they were so incredible in the first place!

Dafoe yes. No question. None at all. He absolutely killed it. Molina though? This is not the same Molina I saw back in SM2. Way too humorous and quippy. Not really a dig on Molina cause the guy did his best with what he had…but he wasn’t given the same love, attention and respect that Dafoe was in terms of how their characters were represented on screen.

There was definitely a ton of humor, and too much at times. I tried to make peace with it haha.

I’ll be watching it a second time today…Maybe I will see something different because the positivity and best Spider-Man/superhero movie ever comments are just off the charts. I really want to love this movie bad.

I feel like maybe everyone else saw a directors cut Synder version of this movie and mine was edited by the studio Lol….
Don’t feel bad, like someone else said, it’s subjective. I don’t like Joker despite how universally praised it is. I loved this film, but it just may not hit the right spot for you.

Again my point wasn't about knowing each other. It is about the time periods these two are from. There is no Norman Osborne when we see this version of Doc Ock, Norman is already dead in his universe, so it must be a Norman from another Universe, he is just very similar.

That makes no sense. Why does it matter Norman isn't in Docs movie? He existed in his movie. They came from different points in time in the same universe.

I though Molina acted normal after he got the new chip. He was a little too quippy when we first met him though, I agree.

When they decide to do another Avengers, Spider-Man can still be in it. The spell was only for those that knew the identity and most have passed on. In IWs he was in space with Stark, GOTG, and Strange. Only Strange would appear in the next Avengers or giant team up.

Endgame he fought with a ton of people but did he ever reveal his name to them?

I expect Spider-Man to return and heck he is going to college, in the comic him and Johnny Storm Human Torch are best friends. We are getting the F4 so I hope they go to the same school.

We can also have Spider-Man and X-Men team ups.

The spell made it so that the world still remembers Spider-Man, but forgets about Peter.

So all the heroes he fought with, Star-Lord, Wong, Captain Marvel, Hawkeye, Wanda etc all still remember Spider-Man fighting alongside them.

I think the left over goo was set up for a crossover. Chances are the symbiote still has a connection to the goo that was left behind.

That's impossible.

The only reason Spiderman fought alongside them is because Tony knew his identity and recruited him.

If no one knows Peter Parker than that never happened.

There's literally only one thing I disliked about this movie.

I don't like how the villains being cured/saved means taking away there powers.

There issues had nothing to do with that in there respective film's.

It was all physiological mental not there special abilities.

It makes zero sense that taking away there powers instantly means they become good or better people again that's a cop out to easy and forced.

They should have fixed the mental problem and money problems and taught them to use there great power's responsibly.

Norman Osborn without the serum is ******* billionaire with zero empathy with his soft spot being Peter and Harry with access to dangerous weapons technology.

Flint Marko was good man who committed crimes to help his daughter but now has no powers to get the money he needs without getting shot and killed pretty much immediately. Which means he daughter is gonna die.

Max Dillon was schizophrenic man who had sirmmmin rage inside him who had unhealthy obbession and constantly had to stop himself from violently attacking others who wronged him.

Kurt Connor's was the only one who benefited from this treatment as he was good and normal man who didn't need his powers unlike Flint Marko for anything.

I am so glad they mentioned that Tobey's Peter and Mary Jane had reconciled and were now back together.
Nice to get a happy ending after all they went through.

I loved the 2 multiverse Spideys coming to help Holland with their own experience of losing Ben and Gwen.

It did, history wasn't changed, just the people's recollection of it.
But isn't that the same thing for them ?

I mean sure it technically still happened but they don't remember it since if Tony was still alive wouldn't remember recruiting him since he wouldn't remember Peter Parker.

So they won't remember fighting with Spiderman.

Yup, gives me hope that Andrew's Spidey can find his MJ too.

so ned promising not to become a villian and try to kill him? that's out the window now.

strange noticing he was able to use the ring was meant for something down the road imho.

i thought tobey + andrew were fantastic. really added some emotion and depth to the story and of course fan service.

but my favorite was still seeing laywer matt in the mcu.

overall - it's a solid 7.5 out of 10.

I'm wondering about future villains, considering all the Sony plans.

I remember them saying they wouldn't use previously seen villains anytime soon. Now they just brought them back. Does that mean we will see their MCU versions soon, or still "not anytime soon"?

What about the spin-offs? Are those villains going to be used in the MCU? Because I don't think it will make much sense to bring a different villain from another universe every movie.

Are the spin-off going to compromise those characters appearence in the MCU? Because I want to see Kraven, Venom, Black Cat with Holland.

And if so, are we going to have two current versions of those characters? Like one Kraven played by ATJ and another one in the MCU?

What do you guys think about how they'll handle that?

Is part of the venom goo staying behind a plot hole ? everybody leaving was disappearing whole .
like if Toby Spider-Man cut off his finger mid leaving would the finger have stayed or disappeared along with him? Idk how they can explain that one

One thing I wasn't a fan of at all was how they treated Ock here. Especially the first fight on the bridge, it was just over the top or something. When Peter could just override the arms too? Silly

I think the symbotie is frankly stronger then the spell.

They all share a hive mind across the multiverse it's how Venom knew Peter was Spiderman because the Symbotie from Spiderman 3 knew too.
So if part of the symbotie wants to stay to try to corrupt another Peter Parker there not much the spell can do to stop it.

The symboties are simply a constant in the multiverse.

They don't have to follow the rules.

So I don't think it's a plot hole as much as is showing that the symboties are really separate from everything else.
