No Way Home Spider-Man: No Way Home Spoiler Discussion Thread

The film would have benefited with just GG, Doc Ock and Electro as the villains.

I was disappointed that we didn't see Goblin with the 2002 suit much. I was excited to see the fight scene when he first appears but no. I wonder what happens to him when he goes back to his own universe? I don't think he dies because he didn't get transported just when he was about to die. The suit wasn't broken.

I wish Norman would’ve used the Stark Technology and upgraded his mask on the low.

That would’ve been the cherry on top for me.

I have a problem. It did not live up to the hype for me. I'm stressed out and sad. So much things, so little time. This should have been a 2 part movie like Infinity War and Endgame. Things were moving to fast, which was one of my biggest fears for this movie, and we did not get to spent much time with the villains and other Spiderman. Characters don't have much depth because there just isn't time to build one. I f****** loved Green Goblin in this one, but his screen time is just so short as of the other villains. To much humor at the wrong time. And the way Tobey and Andrew showed up was unpleasing. Ned is opening portals all of a sudden... Apsolutelly loved Andrew but he and Tobey were laking depth also as all the characters. They were joking to much...
I think all of this could be fixed if this movie was a 2 parter as I said in the beginning. All in all, this isn't my review of the movie because that would just be toooo long. Just expresing my frustration because I didn't enjoy this movie as much as I thinked I would and did not get emotional. LONG STORY SHORT, I REALLY WANTED TO LOVE THIS MOVIE, BUT IN THE END IT WAS JUST "OK" FOR ME. Is there anyone feeling the same as I do? Please, I really need u now!

Edit: I will go watch it for the 2nd time in 3D and maybe with the 2nd watching it will get better. I hope so.

MY BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH THIS MOVIE IS THAT IS RUSHED AND THERE IS SIMPLY NOT ENOUGH TIME TO EXPLORE CHARACTERS AND THEIR ACTIONS IN DEPTH. MOVIE WITH THIS MUCH CHARACTERS (VILLAINS IN THIS CASE) CAN'T BE DONE IN 2.5 HOURS. IT JUST CAN'T. SHOULD HAVE BEEN A 2 PART MOVIE.

I'm sorry,
I know I'm repeating myself but when you are so frustrated, you can't compress emotions...

The word "think" is actually an irregular verb. The past tense form is "thought".

Anyway, bummer you didn't enjoy the movie. I loved it, luckily enough for me.

Of all the amazing moments in this movie (for which there are many) I think I have to go with Tobey stopping Tom from delivering the final blow to Norman.

Tobey didn’t even need to say anything, that look he gave just said it all. Honestly felt like a Raimi filmed scene, just so well done and a perfect example of “show, don’t tell”

All this happened bc Peter wanted to go to college. Im glad Strange called him out on his stupidity for not even trying to reach out to the school first. Peter really annoyed me wit how he kept talking and ended up messing up the spell. Everything tat happened ultimately was all his fault.

With that said, Stephen bears responsibility for not doing more questioning first. He abused his power and will now have to pay for it

They weren't going for a Sinister 6 type thing, they were going for a "one villain from each pre MCU movie" type thing.

SM1 = Green Goblin
SM2 = Doc Ock
SM3 = Sandman
ASM = Lizard
ASM2 = Electro

If they brought in Mysterio then they'd also need to bring in Vulture, because then it'd be about having a villain from every Spider-man movie period.
Why? If the wanted to do the Sinister 6, they could have chosen Mysterio and just left Vulture out.

Yes that first fight with Norman was awesome. When Peter was punching his face and Norman just had that freakish Goblin grin and started laughing. Wouldn't have it any other way.
Honestly that whole sequence was night and day different from what we've seen in MCU Spidey so far.

I have to say how great all three suits looked too. The CG on the Spidey suits in the Homecoming trilogy has been less than stellar at times but here, all the Spider-Men and their suits looked top notch

I just mentioned that in the Tobey thread. Tobey and Andrew's suits in action all looked GREAT! The CGI in general in this movie was rock solid.

That ending really reminded me of the opening to the video game. Good close out to the movie.

He was definitely in the classic traditional suit . A very vibrant red and blue suit that shines in the dark of night.

So how I understand it is The World hasn't forgotten Spider-Man but only the man behind the mask. So his exploits with The Avengers and all history is still intact from the previous films. Just that Peter Parker is a nobody of significance to the world.

Actually the ending confused me a bit. How did Peter manage to get an apartment, when nobody knows he ever existed. Surely he couldn't have gotten the scholarship. He's no longer backed by Stark funds either.

Yea the more you think about it the more it doesn't make any sense.

On a side note, does anyone have any illustrations of the new suit?

All i could think is. Isn't Peter still a kid? Where did he get the money from to rent an apartment?

That's what I thought as well. Maybe he had some Stark money left over or some valuables that he sold.

He was a senior in this so 17/18. Though I think they should've done a timejump to graduation and him watching his friends graduate.

Although people he’s met don’t remember him, etc. Peter Parker didn’t get erased from existence. He still has access to whatever $$ he had, and maybe even whatever May left. We know he was planning on going to MIT. Maybe, like MJ, he too had a side job to put money aside that we just never saw. Repairing computers on the side, or something.

The place didn’t look particularly nice, and maybe by the time of a sequel he’ll have realized that he needs a roommate to help cover rent—New York City is expensive!

That must be confusing. everyone forgot who he was and that he existed, but he still has a money fund in the bank.

Yea the more you think about it the more it doesn't make any sense.

I guess it's similar to the reverse snap, in that you have to assume the spell somehow works out all the little kinks on a case by case basis.

Peter Parker still exists, it's just no one remembers that he's Spider-Man. And the ones closest to him like Mj, Ned , Happy and Dr. Strange have no memory of him it's a blank slate history.

The event of the Movie still occurred based on MJ's scar, she just doesn't remember Peter only Spider-Man.

My interpretation of the spell is that it's a memory thing. Peter Parker exists on paper, but people's memory of him and his connection to Spider-Man has been erased.

My guess is May (or Stark?) left a little money to him and he clearly didn't graduate from high school because he had a GED book in the box he brought to his new apartment.

Marvel (seemingly) purposely left it vague to allow freedom for the new creative forces for the next film.
