Plain and simple, Capt Marvel's impact is very, very much depends on your circle. Also, probably a lot of people don't want to bring it up because you have a group very, very interested in telling you how, at best, mediocre it is, and how Brie Larson is going to get fired.
Why haven't we heard about it more, I would argue we have heard about as much as we have about Ant-man 3.
Yeah, but the only thing that movie has had going for it that I can tell is Kang, to me, really. I think the last Ant-Man movie was mediocre at best, similar to Captain Marvel. Is that a bad thing to think and call a movie, a solid amount of Marvel movies, mediocre? Why would Brie Larson fired? If a mediocre movie was what it took to get fired some current slate members would be gone, to me, including the main cast of Ant-Man 2, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch.
I think there's a bit of fan favoritism going on for Marvel bland generic slop, to the point where, to some, calling out Doctor Strange 2 as being lame, and not interesting, could be seen as controversial. Somehow...
That movies like Spider-Man Far From Home, Doctor Strange 1, Doctor Strange 2, Captain Marvel, Avengers Endgame and Ant-Man 2 are seen as actually good, by some, I don't see, not in that way.
even amongst the real life friends of mine who’ve seen and (to the best of my knowledge) enjoyed the movie, I haven’t heard it mentioned very often.
If the first movie is mediocre, if it's not generating some form of actual drama (not handwavey drama about things from years ago), I don't think there'd be much to be talked about, for some.
I still want to know who told her it was a good idea to do that awful British accent in the Snyder Cut
Snyder?
