I honestly, 100% had NO idea this even existed until literally a couple minutes ago. Pinky swear.

Thanks Drizzy for sniffing this out and Chick for confirming its existence.

There's actually a ton of films earlier in Bale's career that I completely forgot he was in, like Reign of Fire (which I forgot existed entirely let alone that Bale was in it), Shaft, and even a voice role in Pocahontas.

Re: Ms. Marvel reactions. Cool. Glad people seem to like the first two episodes. Can't say it really does anything to excite me because I've pretty much resigned to all these shows having decent starts only to drop off Everest in the third or fourth episode.

I'm wondering if it's intentional between Disney+ MCU 2021 vs. 2022. All the MCU shows were based on previously introduced characters and 2022 be about 3 new characters.

I wish you were wrong, but I fear that you're probably right...

‘Demimonde’ on the Bubble as WBD Puts Pressure on J.J. Abrams – The Hollywood Reporter
J.J. AbramsDemimonde, the first show the prolific producer has written since Fringe in 2008, is on the bubble at HBO as sources say Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav is frustrated by the lack of output from Bad Robot’s $250 million overall deal.

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the budget for HBO’s Demimonde — which has been in the works since 2018 — is a source of contention as Abrams’ Bad Robot is eyeing a spend that’s north of $200 million. By comparison, the budget for HBO’s upcoming Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon is less than $200 million.
Sources say the DC Comics properties have also come under the spotlight. Sources suggest there is some frustration within the halls of Warner Bros. Discovery that Abrams has laid claim to a number of DC characters but has yet to get anything on the air. Sources note Warners has seen scripts for Constantine and the pilot of Madame X.

Meanwhile, the lack of delivery on content to HBO and HBO Max has created a pipeline issue for both the premium cable network and streamer, make it challenging to plan for budgets for things like marketing. There’s currently no delivery plan for any of Bad Robot’s multiple projects for WBD platforms or for third-party buyers. Abrams, it’s worth noting, is working on a new Star Trek movie for rival studio Paramount Global as the Warners pact was did not include exclusivity.
Wonder what this means for that Superman movie…

On the subject of the Ms Marvel reactions, I am glad they are positive. But I have my doubts it will be a top 3 D+ series for me.

Reposting what I said in another thread
That is a good thing if true. They should be putting pressure on creatives to deliver. However, that can also lead to rushed projects.

I've said before DC needs to get out of "attach a big name as a producer" mindset. Abrams is talented but also has a ton of projects, DC and otherwise, that it'll be hard for him to give his full attention to any of them. Except for maybe anything he is directing. One of the reasons Feige was good is because his whole workday revolved around the MCU. That was his bread and butter.

I don't see why they're desperate and getting guys like Michael B Jordan, Abrams, etc. on as producers for their projects. It's really unnecessary nowadays

WB needs a guy completely dedicated to pushing the DC universe forward and someone who knows you don't need to rely on big names behind or in front of he camera anymore.

It makes sense. 2021 is the year that had to draw people in to giving D+ a shot, so they went for characters people already want to see. And Hawkeye.

I dig it!! That is straight up no BS Blue Beetle! I actually completely forgot they were making this movie.

I hadn't realized this was at the filming stage. I thought they were still writing. Suit looks fantastic.
