Superman & Lois General News & Discussion Thread (TAG SPOILERS!)

I'm loving it. :D it's worth a start.
Sounds good...

Mind you, I loved Smallville from day one thru barely s6.

And, the only hero show I really have enjoyed since Misfits... is either Peacemaker or The Boys.

Outside of the one-offs ala Watchmen.

Should I jump into this? I need a new 'background show'

I never finished Titans or Doom Patrol, though...
It’s a more straightforward superhero show than Doom Patrol, waaaay better than Titans. For my money it’s the first live-action Superman anything to get the character right in decades. At least worth checking out to see if it’s to your taste, imo. I personally think it’s lovely.

Yes, both feet. Compulsory Superman viewing.

This is very true for me. I've never been a Supes fan but this is very realistic and enjoyable for me.

Ok so I’m currently on a rewatch of Smallville and I am on the episode where Lionel gets shot in season 2 and one of the guest actors is Eric Keenleyside who plays Mayor George Dean from S&L and he plays a bartender named Mike

Nice catch. There will never be time but I’d love to somehow binge-watch all of Smallville.

Also I wouldn’t be surprised if that dude’s son from
S&L also appears in an early Smallville episode given his obvious age as others mentioned. :D

It’s a slow rewatch but I’m enjoying it. I also have Gotham complete series on Blu ray and my hope is to start that after Smallville with the goal to be done with both before the year is over.

Also that guy who played Junior could’ve played one of Clarks classmates who worked at the Talon in an episode who was also named Junior oddly lol.

If you like silly camp fun and interactions between villains it’s hilarious and the villains have personality - just get past the early episodes where it tries to be serious.

I’ll tell you this a little campy fun never hurt anybody. I don’t have that much connection with Gotham as much as I do with Smallville but when It was on I caught the first episode and the final episode when it aired also some episodes here and there through its run. I wished I stuck with it but I was mostly too busy watching the Arrowverse shows instead. So gonna make up for lost time.

In that case you are going to love it! I’ve got a massive soft spot for the show and can see myself rewatching one day, even if not for a few years.

As per IMDB, the titles for the penultimate episode and season finale are as follows: "Injustice" and "What Kills You Only Makes You Stronger."

You're on a roll, Helbing! Please don't muck it up with "Evil Superman" BS now. :o

I'd still love to know how it is that a pair of glasses somehow renders Clark unrecognizable as Superman, lol. :p

Lol my gf gets so annoyed when I watch this show "How the hell do people not recognize him?!"

Its one thing in Metropolis where maybe he gets lost in the mix
But a giant Dark haired man married to Lois moves back to Smallville the same time Superman starts hanging out in the area more often (and who everyone knows has a relationship with Lois)... its a bit more suspicious

Add that Hoechlin doesn't really try to go the "nerdy Clark" route that Reeves or Routh did, and it makes it even harder to buy

If he had a clip-on moustache it would be a lot more believable. :o
