DC TV Series Gotham Knights Series In Development at CW

I like the concept if done right. And while CW has had a pretty rough track record, it has given us Superman & Lois, Arrow seasons 1 and 2, Stargirl season 2, and Flash season 1.
So it hasn’t been 100% awful. In fact, when it works, the shows are great. Let’s face it, Superman & Lois is certainly the best version of those characters since Donner’s, and in many ways, I’d even go so far as to say it is superior.

All that said, I would love this concept if it had a comics accurate Dick Grayson (unlike the moody version that we’ve seen in Titans), as well as Barbara, Stephanie, Cass, Damien, and Jason. I would love that line up. I’d also love to see Jean Paul Valley and Clayface in recurring roles as allies.
But seeing as how they seem to be giving top billing to Harper Row…she may be the most uninteresting character that Scott Snyder ever created. And let’s face it: other than Court of Owls and maybe Jim Gordon Jr, Snyder doesn’t have a great track record of original characters. Then they shoe-horn Carrie Kelly in a move that makes no sense. Seeing those two characters makes any interest in the show, which has great promise as a Dick/Barbara led show, absolutely plummet.

Just give me Gotham, with off brand versions of all the characters that is fun.

Misha as Dent will be fun.

I've got to be honest the whole Batman show without Batman doesn't interest me at all. And it would surprise me one bit is Damian is the adopted son in this instead of Dick, Jason or Tim. I'll check it out if the majority of people go on about how amazing the show is otherwise I happy never having watched it.

I like the lineup for Gotham Knights after I thought I was going to hate it.

Before the Brody audition was deleted, the only thing I got from it was that he goes to the same school as the adopted son, he was questioned by the police about the adopted son, he thinks the adopted son is guilty and there is a girl (of course there is), who is friends with both that he thinks should be careful around the adopted son.

But I am confused why this character is a series regular (same as with Cullen) unless they are gonna be in on the crime fighting action there's no reason why these characters are series regulars, why waste money like that.

Mischa Collins revealed in an interview that he will be Harvey Dent for the entire first season and won’t become Two-Face until later.

At first blush, there’s no reason to think that Gotham Knights will be any better than most of the other Bertanti CW/DC shows. It’s possible, however, that the producers have been inspired by the accolades earned by Superman & Lois; and they may actually aim for better writing and higher quality.

Also… Given the premise, it seems GK does not exist in the same continuity as Batwoman (and, therefore, S&L (?) and The Flash (?)). And maybe that’s a good thing. It gets to create its own universe and rules from the ground up.

I wonder if instead of using the Nightwing or Red Hood name, Turner Hayes may instead call himself Red X.

Something else people seem to gloss over is the whole statement Misha is saying when he talks about being Harvey Dent for all of season 1. He says 'Warner Bros seem to be putting a lot into the pilot' ...so if this show is picked up, the budget might actually be good and considering the whole cast is playing characters that don't have abilities; a good budget will hopefully be used more wisely.

Well with the Flash and Superman and Lois renewals and now them picking this up the CW ain’t done with DC yet. We’ll see about Stargirl.

Had a feeling they were going to pick up Gotham Knights.

Which one looks better ?

Couldn't at least one of them have been in costume? Or even the dumb silhouette thing like the posters for X-Men First Class did.
