I was thinking something like this myself. He's promised something out of it if Ukraine falls. My guess is that Putin phoned him up and offered to let Elon set up a new Tesla factory in occupied Donetsk, using Ukrainians as slave labour.
I seriously hope nothing like this actually happens. It's just too scary to think about.
Flip flop? Geez.... nothing like keeping your troops in top gear for fighting.
While not exactly as fast as the initial Kharkiv offensive, Ukraine is making some significant progress on two fronts. So close to some vital logistics lines in the East, and working on clearing Khershon in the south.
Seriously. I almost feel bad for these guys. They'd be better off surrendering, at least they would get fed.Malnourished troops wearing flip flops? Would be better off with civilians using garden tools, travelling by car and feeding themselves with pot noodles.
I don't blame him. Putin can't be trusted with anything.
Good. I hope they keep the momentum going!
The closely held assessment of Ukrainian complicity, which has not been previously reported, was shared within the U.S. government last week. Ukraine denied involvement in the killing immediately after the attack, and senior officials repeated those denials when asked about the American intelligence assessment.
While Russia has not retaliated in a specific way for the assassination, the United States is concerned that such attacks — while high in symbolic value — have little direct impact on the battlefield and could provoke Moscow to carry out its own strikes against senior Ukrainian officials. American officials have been frustrated with Ukraine’s lack of transparency about its military and covert plans, especially on Russian soil.
There was no direct military value in that to remove Daria or her even more influential psycho father inside Russia so it doesn't make any sense to me, it shouldn't have happened from their end if that were the case. Sure the message gets sent that such an operation could be pulled off (but flubbed due to Dugin changing vehicles or whatever) inside the core of the Russia but the cost was not worth it. Certainly not yet anyway.
It could have been someone in their intelligence agency being opportunistic. When it happened, things weren't looking quite as good as it was even in the summer.
It does, however, put into different light a lot of the reports I remember of supply depots in Russia going up in flame.
