Has anyone heard whether D'Onofrio is gonna reprise his stellar performances as The Kingpin for season two, or at least in the future?

Hasn't been confirmed or denied. But it's safe to say he'll be back in some capacity.

I'm expecting him back too, but I've seen too many shows where a character is kept around for the sake of keeping them around when they don't know what to do with them. I do think, if they can't figure out what to do with Fisk, they shouldn't have him. He's not going anywhere. They can bring him back when they have a plan.

So at what point do you guys think that we may see an adaptation of Born Again? Personally I think they'll be ready to do it by Season 4 or 5.

I feel three is still too early. There's still a lot of things I'd like to see first and I feel like Born Again is a game changer.

Season four sounds good. To see this team do an adaptation of Born Again ...:hmr:

Who shot him isn't as important as who orderd the hit, though.

Exactly. In most continuities DD confronts Fixer (who is ultimately responsible for Jack Murdock's death). It would seem odd if Matt never tried to track down his father's murderer.

I don't know. I feel like Season 3 is as good a time as any.

We got The Man Without Fear for Season 1. Season 2 looks like a lot of Frank Miller's initial DD run is going to be adapted with Elektra, Punisher and Bullseye and Melvin Potter becoming Gladiator. All who're missing are Kirigi and Eric Slaughter and I'm pretty sure that both of them are going to show up. And if we're lucky we'll open the season with DD fighting Death Stalker (who naturally dies in the first ten minutes) and we'll also get ScarJo as Black Widow in a subplot. The last two episodes should have Bullseye killing off Elektra and DD dropping him off a building and then an adaptation of Daredevil 191 with Elektra's resurrection being saved for Season 3. Karen Page would also get hooked on drugs by the end of the season.

I'd get Season 3 to adapt elements of Ann Nocenti's run with Typhoid, Bushwhacker and Bullet all appearing as assassin's hunting Matt down while Elektra returns to life in an adaptation of Elektra Lives again (minus Elektra and Bullseye dying in the church fight) then close with Born Again and a cameo from Captain America.

Season 4 would be Guardian Devil and Parts of a Whole with Death of Jean DeWolff tacked on since that story was always a Daredevil/Spider-Man team up but it feels too dark for a Spider-Man solo film.

Season 5 should be the first half of Bendis' run with DD outed at the tail end.

Season 6 is the second half of Bendis' run with DD in prison at the end.

Season 7 should be Brubaker's run which would lead into the next Defenders miniseries.

Born Again is such a quintessential classic that I'm actually scared if they will get into that at all. It's just I don't want them to make this series suck. I want this to be perfect and go down as an amazing series in TV history.

Too much? :D

I've said before that they should literally repeat the story scene for scene. Find out how much Chris Evans would need for one or two episodes, figure out how many episodes are needed to recreate the story, and then recreate it. That'll be how long the season will be.

They won't do that. It's called an "adaptation" for a reason. And you'd really need to properly set up Karen Page's descent in order to sell Born Again. And that would take time. And personally, I'd prefer that they cut out the "Karen does porn" part of it.

I am watching episode 2 right now and when Jack Murdock gets his new robe he says to Matt that it's very red, to which Matt replies that they won't see him bleed. I wonder if Deadpool "stole" that line. :oldrazz:

I say go big or go home. I'd hate to see the series shy away from addressing iconic or important stories from the mythos. Especially because the first season was so good.

Look at The Flash. They're doing Flash of Two Worlds, one of the most monumentally important stories in the history of comic books. The first Flash show took about ten episodes to actually feel like a Flash show rather than a guy in a red velvet suit playing Tim Burton's Batman, and it suffered greatly because of that (and also because its original timeslot was head to head with Simpsons and Cosby).

I want this show to be the very best "Daredevil" show it can be, and to do that I think they have to be brave enough to take on stories like Born Again.

Nah, it's an old joke.

His character is too vital to sabotage with overexposure. I was thinking more like S3 also.

So finally watching DD season 1, I don't know how to describe the greatness of the series in words. On Episode 3 now, and its just perfect.
