Dune

I have to avoid getting into debates on YouTube and Twitter. Apparently it’s controversial to say

Paul has a villainous edge to him towards the end of Part 2.

Am I crazy for thinking this?
That's literally the story of Dune and heavily played up in the adaptation so, no, you're not crazy.

Oh wow I had forgotten about this flashback in the first movie.

Wonder will this come into play. There was also the flashback of Paul returning to his home planet with an army of Fremen.

Some of those visions did come true in part two but in a different circumstance.

I’ve seen a handful of YT reactors watch the movie and about half of them got it (thankfully) while the other half totally didn’t. It’s exactly like what I experienced last week on social media when people were making excuses for Paul or were just too caught up in the spectacle to notice.

I'm genuinely confused how some people still haven't picked up on it after "we must sway the non-believers", "so this is how we'll survive, by being Harkonnens", the war council scene, and "the HOLY WAR begins". However, they did help get the box office to where it's probably going to hit $700M WW over the weekend.

Its always a risk when you give your character doing villianous stuff solid motivations.

Im a little over 400 pages into the book and the difference with the movies are becoming more apparent. Subplots were discarded and the order of some events are changed around. I’m glad they are different to be honest. Only about 200 pages left to go.
