Alotta Fagina was probably based on the femme fatale in that movie.

I think 'Empire' is just a perfect storm, with Kasdan there to boot.

Seriously though. The movie IS a f**king chore to watch.

"Bond, I sent you to the gym."

All of that was nonsense. Especially devoting more than 30 minutes to his "fitness".

Thanks for posting.

Doesn't tell us a lot, except that the tone established in Skyfall looks set to continue.

If they somehow manage to up Skyfall, I may just die in that theater.

Logan knows how to get the fans excited.

It seems the more return to basic Bond formulas In Skyfall will continue.

It's funny how they went from rookie Bond In Casino Royale and QoS to over the
hill Bond In Skyfall. But,it worked to get a more classic Bond film on screen.

It's not surprising considering Judi Dench's M that Ralph Fiennes will do more than sit behind a desk giving orders or acting disappoving towards Bond.

Skyfall firmly got us back to a full womanzing Bond. Now we need a leading lady for Bond to sleep with. That hasn't happened since Casino Royale.

And bond needs a villain with a grander plan than revenge. It could be a new Blofeld. It could be a brand new character.

That's because they've been getting bigger actors for the role of M than they used to in the old movies. Bernard Lee wasn't exactly someone starring in a number of high-profile films.

He was great, though.

I think my favorite moment with him as M was when he was in Venice in Moonraker. I dunno why...but its one of my favorite moments of that film.

I know they always work together, so I'm sure he'll be back, but I'm hoping Thomas Newman comes back. I loved his Skyfall score.

Bernard Lee is still the best M, IMO. He played him exactly how M should be.

Agreed. Also, Desmond Llewelyn was the best Q, Lois Maxwell the best Moneypenny, and Jack Lord the best Felix Leiter.

Jack Lord seemed like a true equal of Bond and a character in his own right. I heard that he demanded too much money to reprise his role, so it was recast.

Well, Alotta Fagina's name is a parody of ***** Galore, just like Random Task was a parody of Oddjob.

I liked Lee's M, but Dench is by far my favorite. Her M felt like an actual multi-faceted/layered character and got stuff to do besides just sit behind a desk and talk to Bond in one or two scenes. Plus, it's Judie freaking Dench, she's always great. I'm curious to see how the dynamic between Bond and Ralph Feinnes's M will differ from his rapport with Dench.
