Or just remove Taika altogether.Great analogy and its a shame really this was Marvels Chance to put Thor in the forefront with no Tony and Steve and basically made him a parody. Hopefully Thor vs Hercules in the 5th one delivers but they need to put restraints on Taika
Strange is trying to be Tony Stark. I don't know wtf Thor was trying to be honestly. They all didn’t sound like they were trying to be Tony Stark
Disregarding the continuity from Ragnarok, can you even classify Korg as gay, since if his entire species is males and that's how their species procreate. This is the kind of thing where too much creative control isn't always a good thing. There were plenty of times during the movie where I thought that Taika should have been reined in a bit. Let Korg be gay but don't muddle the continuity, however minuscule it may be.
Also, seeing how Immigrant Song from Ragnarok was basically spoiling what was going to happen to the Asgardians at the end, Sweet Child 'O Mine should've been a massive clue that Thor was probably gonna end up with a kid in some way. There is a hint of it during the Thor/Jane flashback sequence, when Korg says that Thor started looking forward to the future, and it shows him looking through a window and seeing a reflection of a child in a pram.
I think with all these films and shows bringing in a new protege, it's pretty obvious that Disney is trying to make a Young/Next-gen Avengers happen, whether it feels forced or not.I hate the daughter angle.
I know they're trying to give him something new to do - but it's one of those obvious Disney mandates that are going to keep coming up in these films. I mean let's face it, is there ever a time we're going to see her really in danger when in battle? No. Just like in all the SW shows (Baby Grogu, Luke & Leia) it's going to just be chase scenes over and over again or fights with little weight to them.
His purpose didn't change until Thor and Jane convinced him in the last second. He was intent on making his god killing wish until the very end before he had a change of heart.Btw saw a couple of clutch comments on another forum - one of them said "Gorr the God Off-Screener" - which was so true. The other pointed out how Gorr's purpose suddenly changed in the 3rd act from killing Gods to suddenly seeking Eternity to bring back his daughter. That hadn't occurred to me and just more proof (for me at least) of how terrible the screenwriting was for this movie.
