Discussion: The REPUBLICAN Party - Part 16

The Republican party should rally around Cruz .Who in an head to head match up clubbers trump 56-40 .

Anyone who has ever worked with him hates Ted Cruz. There's a reason not a single senator has endorsed Cruz.

Ted Cruz is in some ways worse than Trump.

The Republicans can't control either, but they can at least make deals with Trump. Ted Cruz is a fanatic.

So Rubio and Kasich are unofficially working together to win Florida and Ohio to take delegates away from Trump.

They're hoping for a brokered convention but all it will do is create a right wing third party if Trump isn't nominated.

Ross Perot situation again.

How the **** is Cruz their champion? Pardon my explicative, but how does that guy end up as their best hope against their party's implosion?

Could we be seeing the birth of a Rubio/Kasich ticket?

The last 16 years. Thats how.

The majority of Republicans in the Texas Legislature .And the states past two Governors supported him they know him better then anyone .

The fact that some people who worked in the Reagan and H.W. Bush Administrations see Trump as someone who could actually bring a bigger audience to the Republican tent instead of shrinking it like some of the more conservative candidates shows that some aren't as gloom and doom as others within the party are.

I wish somebody could make a video of Ted Cruz counting to 3 from Super Tuesday

I've been saying all along that Rubio/Kasich is the best possible ticket for the GOP. The only problem is going to be if Trump goes and runs on his own, in which case the GOP has to hope that Bernie can be convinced to do the same.

Cruz is about as Christian as a horse's ass. He's a snake oil salesman the same as Trump, and he oozes sleaze.

It's over folks.

As predicted, Trump reaching out to make peace with Republican "establishment". If he becomes inevitable, party would be mad not to unify.

I think we may be about to witness the dissolution of the Republican Party.

The Party is gonna break with or without Trump as the nominee , and Rupert is kidding himself if he thinks the party will be any less broken if they united behind Trump. Trump and his followers have burned too many bridges with the other factions in the party. They're sinking.

The question now is whether the damage is so great that they can come back in four years unified and united or whether the party is so broken that it takes another decade to return to the White House.

The GOP debate audience is its usual classy self and cheering for war crimes.

What a s*** show. Just when I thought these debates couldn't sink any lower, Trump goes and brags about how big his dick is.:funny::dry:

Rubio and Cruz must be kicking themselves. They mauled Trump tonight and could have been doing so for months.

So, I'm not that big into politics but if Trump does get the nomination and stays as a Republican, is this going to set the party back, long term? With Trump being accused of bigotry against Spanish and Hispanics, will Democrats use this in a "hey, remember when you guys supported a racist?" sort of way?

I hope the party dissolves and hope these jackasses: Trump, Rubio, Cruz, and Romney stay the **** away from the presidency

That debate was the least presidential showing I have ever seen. Trump is running for the highest office in the land and he felt it necessary to assure voters he doesn't have a small penis? That entire debacle left me speechless.

It's what the American people want. The Jerry Springer/reality TV effect.

It's a horrid state of affairs. Cruz handles it the best. Rubio simply can't believe this is where's he's at. Kasich's long game is running out of time.

All Trump needed to do in the LAST debate was look above the fray that he set. He couldn't do it. Looked like a spoiled brat not getting his way.

Makes me want to vote for Clinton. It's that bad.

uh...I don't think he's mentioned Spain has he? Really don't hear much about "Spanish" Americans.

Romney is orchestrating a take down of Trump and sending it to a brokered convention. He's having donors give money to Rubio in Florida, Kasich in Ohio, Cruz in Southern States and then he'll either be the nominee or maybe Paul Ryan, Rubio or Kasich. If Trump doesn't win enough delegates he really can't complain, especially after he ran his campaign insulting everyone that they wouldn't play nice with him.
