I am, but I'm not at the same time. My interest would skyrocket if they recast Ezra
I don’t like his Flash. I want Miller recast.

I’m of the opinion that they should never have used Barry Allen for the movies. I think they should’ve gone the DCAU route and just skip Barry Allen in favor of going with Wally West(who’s the more interesting character). Let the show have Barry Allen, while the movies can have Wally.

Neither do I, but I'd like to see Barry in the movies. Ezra was already closer to Wally than Barry anyway

I was down with Ezra after JL but now I’m over it. At this point they just need to fast track a Flash movie with or without him because he’s likely the most recognizable superhero without a movie and it’s kinda insane he hasn’t gotten one yet.

Like Ezra. Don't think the treatment of the character seems that strong from the very limited amount I've seen.

They should go with Glenn Powell for Barry.

Oh man, I never thought of Glenn Powell but he'd be perfect! Looks just like the comic book version and he's really charismatic and funny. Goddamn sir, you should be a casting director. Love it.

I predict Marty’s gonna helm the X-Men’s first Marvel Studios adventure.

Martin Scorsese's Fantastic Four

Reed Richards: Robert De Niro
Ben Grimm: Joe Pesci
Johnny Storm: Leonardo DiCaprio
Susan Storm: Margot Robbie
Victor Von Doom: Daniel Day Lewis

LOL

In a perfect world, Margot really would make an excellent Sue Storm-Richards.

Im just not that interested in Miller Flash
Was his Flash that bad in BVS and Justice league? I noticed that some of the fans don't like him for the role, maybe he'll surprise everyone like Momoa did in Aquaman.

:funny:. Baby Yoda is so cute.

Not in the slightest. We are never escaping this story, years from now, we'll probably still be getting articles about it. smh.

So true. A few years down the road, entertainment journalists who interview him will ask him if his opinion has changed. He’ll say no (and nothing else). And then we’ll be treated to long thinkpieces with titles like “Martin Scorsese Still Thinks Superhero Movies Are a Waste of Time”, even though 90% the article will be about something else entirely. But they’ll give it a clickbait headline just so fans get all riled up again.

I'm not crazy about any of the current lead DC actors, besides Levi as Shazam.

JL was like the antithesis of The Avengers, where I was hooked by each lead actor and loved seeing them come together. JL was a collection of castings/portrayals that I simply don't like. Miller, Momoa, Fisher being the worst and Affleck and Cavill ruined by the writing.

DC is doing better now, but it's still not even close to having what the MCU had with RDJ, Evans, Hemworth, Pratt, etc.

The Flash, and the rest of the JL, desperately need the charm and charisma of those MCU leads. I don't think Miller is going to cut it.

You can still hit a billion clearly even with the likes of Momoa and Gadot, but I don't see them having lasting power and appeal.

Nah. Momoa and Gadot are easily just as appealing compared to RDJ, Evans, and Hemsworth. I'd say that RDJ and Gadot are equally good and appealing in their roles. Momoa, Evans, and Hemsworth are also in the same tier. Evans and Hemsworth benefitted from the MCU and not the other way around. Aquaman was a laughing stock but Momoa made him freaking cool, instantly. I don't think Pratt belongs in the conversation, despite my like for the character of Star-Lord.

Gadot is more of a Hemsworth than a Downey to me, as she's hit-or-miss (putting it generously) in other roles, and basically owes her success to being extremely well-suited to the character she's playing and working under the right director to help her performances. Because based on her other WW performances, she wouldn't have been able to carry that solo film without Patty Jenkins, imo. RDJ's an Oscar-caliber actor who'd been delivering top notch performances for a couple decades. Iron Man was a breakout hit simply because someone was finally savvy enough to put him in a blockbuster and let him do his thing. The DCEU doesn't have "their RDJ" yet, imo.

Jason? Eh, he's likable enough under the right director, but he ain't Aquaman to me.

Yeah I like Momoa well enough and I would say he was good in Aquaman, but not GREAT like RDJ, Evans and Hemsworth all were in their solo efforts. It didn’t help that the movie was a convoluted mess. I feel like Aquaman lacked any standout performances, perhaps because the dialogue was so bad and because it just felt like Wan threw everything and the kitchen sink into it. Did we really need Ocean Master AND Manta AND the Trench AND talking crab people AND Kaijulie Andrews AND prophesies about magic tridents AND a half-baked love story? The visuals in the movie were great but I wish they would have let the movie breathe a little more so that the characters could develop a bit. They’re all so one-note.

Gadot and Momoa in their respective roles were pleasant surprises, easily more pleasant than Hawkeye and Black Widow casting choices.

I liked Mamoa, and thought his performance in Aquaman was much improved over his work in JL. But he would have benefited from having a stronger actress than Heard as his co-star.

I don't think Momoa improved much at all. I think the difference between Aquaman and JL is that Aquaman is pretty and kind of easy to follow and makes plenty of use of Momoa's sex appeal and has good action. JL was just an ugly, terrible movie with nothing to offer in the first place, so every aspect of it including the actors felt worse. Even Gadot struggled to be fun in JL, and while I don't think she's one of the great actresses of the era, I do think the Thor/Hemsworth comparison is accurate - she's perfect for the character and she'll continue to carry that character for many movies, imo.

Miller's just irritating. I don't really even know exactly what it is - and it's not solely him, either, because he isn't nearly as irritating in the FB stuff. He just doesn't work for me as the Flash at all.

The RDJ of the DCEU should have been Cavill, and I think he honestly has the chops to be that and absolutely could have grown into it based on MoS, with a more logical, measured, forward-moving story. But his characterization was so heavily undermined in BvS and especially Justice League that his version of the character just became toxic rather than beloved.
