The Mandalorian The Mandalorian: General Thread

Meh, she didn’t add much. All the other episodes were so much better, but that could be a combination of the writing as well.

Her episode was the weakest, but more for the writing, imo. I didn't find anything bad about her directing.

Anyway, really enjoyed the latest Gallery ep. And @DarthSkywalker , the darksaber finally got talked about! Albeit too briefly. I just loved seeing how much of a practical prop it actually was, and how cool it already looked without the CGI enhancement.

That is what I am looking for. :mrk:

Gonna definitely check that out tonight. Thank you FC. :yay:

Wow, she did a 3.5/5 episode, burn the witch, eh fellas?

She's Ron Howards kid and did well for just getting started given her lineage.

I liked Favreau calling it the "Magnificent 7 episode".

Just finished the last episode. I just can't stop admiring how much love these people put into making The Mandalorian. The directors, Favreau and Filoni, cast. The sheer love of and respect for Star Wars really shone through in the docu series.

Yeah I also didn't mind the episode Bryce Dallas Howard directed even though I do think it was one of the weaker episodes. It's not like it ruined the entire series for me and if anything maybe she has even learned from her mistakes from that episode and we will see some improvement with her directing in Season 2.

Which episode did she direct? As in what happened in it rather than the nunber (as I wouldn’t know just from the number).

The Mandalorian Season 2: Bryce Dallas Howard on Baby Yoda Upgrade

Speaking to Variety Live! to promote her Apple TV+ documentary Dads, Howard explained how excited she was to return and how the behind-the-scenes technology has evolved so much in such a short period of time: "It's so wonderful to be asked back. It's been such a freaking blast. And I have to say the amount of progress that everyone has made behind the scenes, in terms of the technology and what they're able to do from the first season to the second season is kind of mind-blowing." One character who looks to benefit greatly from the upgrade? "The Child" aka Baby Yoda: "Legacy Effects, who did the animatronics — I've worked with them many, many times over the years on 'Terminator' and 'Jurassic' — and they're just constantly improving upon that process of essentially puppeteering and that art form. So, with Baby first season to second season, I'm like 'Is Baby conscious? Like has Baby experienced singularity?'"

Nice. I love seeing tech improve.

I'm wondering if that novel is an original story or if it's going to be an adaptation of the first season.

Last year we got our first trailer during SDCC - I wonder if we get one on CC@H since they told it more than once, that it won‘t be delayed and will be released in fall

I hope we see more of the Razor Crest in action like more space battles or something

No we didn't. We got the first teaser at Celebration which leaked online and then we got the first official trailer at D23 in August.

yup, you‘re right - but since there hadn‘t been a D23 any way (its every 2 years), CC@H would be the right...unless Disney is doing a D23@home
