The E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) thread

Sony will still bring the quality and best games like GoW but might struggle to keep up with quantity.
That would be there fault. They are the ones who are now seemingly only focusing on giant IPs. Ended up seeing a lot of people quit their studio because of it.

I mean I love their giant IPs, but they take years to make. They need more first party supporting content in between that as third party exclusives will get more expensive and harder to secure if gamepass keeps growing at this rate.

Exactly.

So far from the new reveals: its the Avatar game and a new Plague Tale for me. The third one is probably Guardians, as it seems the big reveal of Square eniX for their presentation. I'd like to see more surprises. I didn't eXpect that A Plague Tale sequel reveal even though I have read rumours about a sequel when i played it for the first time.

After the pre-order crapshow with the last one, I feel like it is already there.

Is the Redfall game, a 1st person or 3rd person game?

And I was cautiously eXpecting Microsoft to announce a new acquisition in that livestream.

I am glad lad you have found something to enjoy at least.

I have enjoyed E3 so far, but without Sony, it just feels incomplete, especially with Microsoft getting Bethesda. We need that second big show. I love Nintendo Directs and all, but they don't have the same energy. Instead, that always felt like the cherry on the sundae to me.

It’s never going to be the same without both Sony and Microsoft shows. I hate when long-standing traditions go out the window like this.

Sony having their e3 presentation would have been nice. Their livestream last year for the ps5 console reveal was so good because there were plenty of videogame reveals as well. But I'm looking at my 2022 wish list. Its pretty stacked.

That game is not what they sold it as at all. It was a legit shock to me. Now I want more. :funny:
I loved Prey 2017. It's a great spiritual successor to the System Shock games.

Arkane to me is synonym to single-player immersive sims. Seeing them making co-op focused games like Deathloop and now RedFall is a slight bummer. It's like they've realized nobody bought Prey and the Dishonored games...

Oh snap they didn’t even make us wait GoTG looks way more fun than Avengers

I think the game companies need to coordinate a bit on their trailer music.

At least the Guardians don't look like stunt doubles like the original Avengers models did.

Yeah, it isn't a mark against it. But the trailers didn't really sell it's mood imo.

Sadly, no one did. Except for me and you I guess.

So the GotG game looks... blah?

- You only get to play as Peter. Boo.

- They look like a mash up of the movie and comic version, that feels just off to me.

- The emphasize on single player... they know how bad the Avengers game went over. :lmao:

- Masters of the Universe already beat them to punch when it came to, "I need a hero".

- At least Gamora seems to actually be more like Gamora this time.

The gameplay is definitely better then the trailer and puff piece. But Drax and Rocket sound off. They feel written like the movie versions, with the wrong voice. Also a lot of not finished looking stuff in this gameplay.

I hope the element gun is in this game somewhere.

Am I missing something or did they really think a GotG game where you only play as Star-Lord was a good idea?
