No Way Home No Way Home Rumors, Leaks And Speculation Thread (Potential Spoilers Ahead)

We apparently have another movie description leak. Take it with a grain of salt but it seems like the most accurate one of them all.

This could obviously be fake (and more than likely is), but I could honestly see almost everything in this happening, or being true. In some ways it's nuts I suppose, but in some ways it actually makes a lot of sense ha

So won't shock me if this is the actual plot (or close to it), or if not it's actually pretty thoroughly well done and thought out. (Also I don't love it or hate it, I'm pretty neutral here. There's things I like in it, and things I really hate)

I don't buy those plot details because based on everything reported like Doc Ock and Electro being confirmed for months and very much looking like the major villains, this plot would have them reduced to insignificant side characters essentially. It's not impossible they managed to keep a few appearances secret but this would be A LOT of them.

Even if Ock and Electro aren't the lead villains , that doesn't then mean the alleged leak isn't fan fiction.

The thing is , its very tempting to believe certain alleged leaks because they tend to include fan service, plot elements, and stuff fans want to hear and believe. So fans are more receptive to believing its true.

At the same time, they usually include up to date info that truly are spoilers and leaks. Yet most of them never seem to leak stuff we haven't seen yet already . They always come after something has already been confirmed or merchandise is release, and then, that stuff is incorporated into the fake overall story to make it sound more legit.

So, the leak has elements which seemingly are true or corroborated, which include the 3 Spidermen, The sinister six, Peter, MJ, Ned in the sanctum with Doctor Strange, Spiderman's new suits and magic which we learned from the toys , and the idea of Matt Murdock appearing which seems more and more likely.

At the same time, it includes made up stuff by the author to try to connect it all together.

I haven't watched this video, but I would take any of these with a grain of salt

I have a hard time buying it because it sounds very fake and 70% of the movie would be CGI action fight scenes by the sound of it.

Well with the amount of stuff in the movie. there probably will be alot of action.

He just covers news and leaks that people sent him. He doesn't have any inside sources in Hollywood or anything.
don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure he has said in the past when he has a reliable source send him a leak. like he'll open up his video that way depending on his source

WB’s over there leaking tons of Flash goodies every week and Sony over here slackin’. :o

I'll be honest, I love Tobey, Andrew, Alfred and Willem, but at the moment The Flash with all these leaks that don't even reveal what the movie will be about makes me more hyped than NWH.

Exactly, we still dont actually have any context for the leaks or know anything about the story but its nice to at least see the actors suited up. Im not sayin we as fans are entitled to that or anything but damn, Sony is really holdin everything back here.

Its because Sony know they can. they not only have the backing of Marvel, but by the time the 2nd trailer is out and we will see a fair bit of whats in the movie, do you think audiences will be like nah you took too long so I'm not interested now...?

No definitely not. I feel like the radio silence in of itself signifies that this is gonna be a BIG movie with big surprises that they want under lock and key.

I don't necessarily agree with all his points but John Campea made the argument that Sony doesn't need to start marketing this movie yet and I kinda agree. Yeah there's a group of us sweaty hardcore fans on a forum (or reddit) complaining we don't have much info yet, but 95% of the people who will see this movie are just going about their day as normal not spending much time at all thinking about the next Spider-Man trailer and once it drops they will just go "Oh that's cool!".

Marketing is expensive and the returns on this thing just aren't a guarantee anymore. Doesn't surprise me that they're holding back.

Not been part of this conversation really, but I gotta say Venom/Carnage seems to have very limited marketing as well.

I only heard about/saw the trailer last week and still havent seen it before films at the theater. Also the posters at the theater are limited compared to normal Marvel flicks.

Sony may be working with limited marketing budgets or trying a new strategy.

Campea also made another solid point that I think we all dont take seriously enough. Yes, this is technically a Sony movie but this is for all intents and purposes the FOURTH MCU movie out this year and Marvel needs to put big focus on Shang Chi and Eternals. No Way Home—if everything is true— would basically take all the attention away from those other movies which need big marketing pushes and attention since theyre unknown quantities.

Right, but that isn't Sony's problem

Yeah it's def not, but it could definitely put some extra constraint on Sony, besides their own internal wishes to hold back the marketing.

I think a lot of the delay or wait has been due to Sony and their uncertainty about theaters/the pandemic. But I think just as much has to do with Marvel, and how they have other things cooking and coming up, and the want maximum focus on each release as the happen.

So basically, I think people should put 50/50 blame on Sony and Marvel for this longgg a** wait

So Sony is releasing a new Ghostbusters: Afterlife trailer tomorrow with the movie due to come out November, 4 months away

I guess we can expect a Spidey trailer in August?

I wonder if they’re just gonna drop it one day without warning or make a whole build up to it. You know those “TEASER BEFORE THE TEASER” type things.

They'll definitely hype up it up on social media the day before, we'll know when it's coming.
