Superhero Cinematic Civil War - Part 58

Taking this with a grain of salt but it's entirely possible that they'd have one ready to be attached to No Way Home. It'd also fit the pattern of getting a new MCU trailer featuring Wong right before a new MCU movie featuring Wong. He's the glue holding the MCU together. :o
For the phase I think he is doing that job, yeah.

I'd love to see Trevor Slattery take the position of Stan Lee cameos.

Part of me thinks the main, if not only, reason for the Peacemaker spin-off boils down to Cena being a bucket of charm and game for most anything, to his credit. Seems like a guy that’d be fun to work with.
.

Wonder what else Gunn can get WB/DC to do. Detective Chimp?

I don't know. I think the characters' powers were a huge factor. Daredevil 'unleashed' is a cost effective punch-up in an alley. The show could do that often with nothing more than a good stunt team. By contrast, Jessica Jones? Imply she jumped really high in a cut-away gag. Luke Cage can have some bullet squibs and can bend all the prop guns he likes. Iron Fist has shy fist. It's plain as day to me that the other characters could not flex the way Daredevil could with the budget limitations they had. Even the Punisher tended to ditch all the weaponry and stick to cheaper fist fights.

I don't think 13 episodes a season was simply too long. The good seasons disprove that theory. The quality of writing is certainly a factor, technically these shows could have no action at all if the character drama was top notch. But of course these are action shows, and I imagine it was very difficult to come up with exciting set-pieces with the resources available.

Its not that 13 episodes is too long. 13 episodes is fine. . . as long as you don't try to make it one single 13 episode "movie". You need to have multiple stories, with break points for pacing, and most of the Netflix seasons just don't have that.

Halfway through episode 2 of Hawkeye and I’m having trouble staying awake. Now we have not just one but TWO boring Hawkeyes in the MCU! Maybe this will pick up eventually but so far, this is dulllllllll.

I think my favorite Avengers movie is Infinity War simply because Hawkeye isn’t in it.

From Gwyneth Paltrow’s Instagram story:

:funny:

Lol, who the hell asked that question? Paltrow stopped caring about anything Marvel related after the first Iron Man.

Not that it really matters, but why didn’t she just Google it?

LOL, Gwyneth probably wouldn’t know what Hawkeye is even if she had a cameo in it.

That’s not a knock on her, but more of an indication of how forgettable the show is.

To be fair, Paltrow seems ignorant about the MCU in general:

Needless to say, as others have pointed out these movies are definitely more an easy paycheck for her than a passion project she actually gives a crap about.

Paltrow is just embarassing in playing the overall campaign :D
I doubt we will ever see her again in the MCU.

Oh wow, I'm curious to see what the story will be if it's just a part one. Very exciting.

That trailer was great, and I'm surprised we got one so soon. Animation looks beautiful. Miles and Miguel dimension hoping was gorgeous. Miles and Gwen continuing to be adorable with the Spider-Man theme :atp:

Feels very good to be a Spider-Man fan these days.

I like Mile's new suit. Can't tell if it'll still have the dark webbing, but the red up the sides and new symbol look cool.
