My preferences
Cyclops Jean - most solid relationship (definitely no Wolverine involved!) and give us a marriage after enough time has passed.
Rogue Gambit - all over the place, volatile combination, maximum drama. Introduce them separately though and then let it catch fire when they eventually meet.
Havok Polaris - Set up X-Factor down the line.
Mystique Destiny - can already exist when the characters are introduced. Could be interesting to see where they draw the line on villain/anti-hero morals differently.

Second tier - less important for me but would still happily take
Psylocke Archangel - develops later, go on to a Crimson Dawn Disney + mini-series
Beast Trish Tilby - can help highlight some difficulties of human mutant cross-relationships
Storm Forge - not 100% sure whether I want this in the MCU but if so a very long way down the line after Storm has already had a chance to fully prove herself and reign as X-Men co-leader and a big overarching MCU character for a decade or so. Having their friendship build up in the lead up to that could be cool though.

I used to have that issue but I got rid of a bunch of my 90s Wizard mags from the in the mid 00s.
Now I wish I had held on to them.
Bassett playing Storm would have been perfect .

I never got the whole " Danzing Should play Wolverine " thing back in the 90s .

I do remember wanting Grant Show , of Melrose Place, to play Cyclops, though his bad boy vibe probably fit Gambit much more. .

May want to specify, as that easily covers 3 or 4 ships. Comic books be crazy.

And just some random musing, just thinking about what Aaron is currently doing with the Phoenix now that the X-office essentially divorced it when they brought back Jean, and I worry about what Marvel may do with some X story lines. Making them more "line wide" so to speak.

and at least we got Bassett as Queen Ramonda, who looks and sounds exactly how I would've picture 'Ro

A Gambit and Rogue movie would be perfect.

I'd be down for a Mr. & Mrs. X series. Maybe not for Disney+ though. Feels like it should be a lot more adult, put it on Hulu maybe.

Most commonly associated with those identities are the Braddock twins Betsy and Brian, but I think an incestuous ship may be a tad controversial...
It's probably not Betsy shipped with herself either.
So one of the Braddock siblings with Kwannon then?

Damn, when you look at that concept art you realize just how exciting it is to be finally getting a proper MCU X-Men franchise. The pics actually gave me a rush of anticipation

Disney, you've got the entire mutant concept all ready to go, with decades of source material from the books just waiting to be mined. Stay true to the core ideas, provide enough diversity in the casting to hammer home the relevant themes, and you'll have a winner!

Yeah, so much potential. I really want them to take advantage of having so many great female characters and start with a majority female roster from the first film.

Hopefully some of the creators stumble across your X-Women and Men pics as they would be hard pressed to create something bland after that. Shows how much potential they are sitting on if they can get it right.
