DD technobabble isn't convincing as "super smart" but more as making seem manic, because he looks and sounds like a stoner. Which is perfect for the "true believer" in the X-Files partnership, who's suppose to come off a little "out there" and "crazy". That's not Reed. Reed's the smartest man in the room, who doesn't make a big deal about it. He's super enthusiastic about problem solving. They'd basically need to come off super smart, while being good natured and hyper active about it. So instead of a DD, it's someone more like Mark Ruffalo. Who is basically playing Reed as Banner.

By the way, that's what gets me about Reed fancasting, like Jim. He's suppose to come off like a super smart dude, not just a lovable guy. I honestly can't think of a lot of actors under 40 who could pull it off (LaKeith Stanfield, Elliot Page, and John David Washington are all I really got), which is why I'm all for the gender switch, and give it to some like Saoirse Ronan, Emily Blunt (much better for the role then her husband), and Georgina Campbell.

Epic! This is probably my most anticipated movie of next year. Bonus points for that awesome remix of Spacehog’s classic tune. Gunn probably has the best taste in music of any director out there.

This looks pretty good. I want to be able to just write the Holiday Special off as this kind of crap thing thrown together quickly because D+ needed content, and this gives me a tiny bit of hope.

Still, despite thinking Vol 2 is better than Vol 1, Gunn's humor has gotten more and more obnoxious with each entry, which is my biggest concern. If the humor of 2 and Holiday Special carry over, I think I'll lose my mind.
