I keep hearing how much better Ezra is in this film than their BvS/JL appearances, but I’m certainly not seeing it in the footage. This was bad.
The only stuff in the trailer that lands is the mom stuff imo.

As for August movies, 5 year old Darth is heading back to the theater!

Wow, I audibly said “you can’t be serious” reading that.

I’m starting to question The Rock’s starpower now.

I think this says more about growing disinterest in these movies than the Rock. Yeah, him being in it leaked and all, but he's still a small part of this movie. People just had no interest in the 2.5 hrs before they see him as well

On the subject of The Flash…

Since the embargo going to be broken tomorrow. Here’s a thread where you can discuss the reviews:

Rotten Tomatoes Thread

I’m predicting a an RT score between the 60-70% range.

After weeks and months of all the shameless plugging and shilling on behalf of this film, critics have an opportunity to do the funniest thing

So Ezra is even more annoying here than in JL.

Seriously. “Young” Barry reminds me of some combination of Jar-Jar Binks and Marlon Wayans’ character in Dungeons & Dragons. Just awful.

But there’s NO ONE on earth that can play Barry but Ezra, you guys! Mainly because no one but Ezra could ever find a way to be more ****ing irritating.

Also, that fake beard in Keaton is hilarious. Can someone explain to me how ordinary people who do tutorials on Instagram can do better hair and makeup work than people working on $200 million movies?

Abominably low critic scores for big event films seems like a DCEU tradition at this point, so perhaps we have one last hurrah

oh the Twitter memes, I can see them now

It’s the closing curtain for the Snyderverse, the reactions were always going to be spectacularly over the top

been that way since 2013, why would it change now

Reviews belong to their authors. But it's really hard to compare a big premiere atmosphere where people are hyping you, with actual critics being asked to go to a normal theater to do their jobs.

There is a reason the Rock was hustling so much with Black Adam. To make every premiere feel important. To butter up the critics. And with this movie, they were setting up folk to call it the greatest thing since the Empire struck back.
