Or Havok actor could be 22 and Scott one 30, just a 8 year gap.

You are the one going to the extremes, not me. :yay:

Again, you were the one that listed 18-22 Havok / 25-35 Cyclops, which meant you were okay with idea of a 18 year old Havok and a 35 year old Cyclops. Which is a bit eXtreme if you have read the comics.

You are only adjusting the "age gap" when people voiced their opinion about their disagreement.

Also, 8 year gap is still a big gap. Thats like Alex going to first grade and Cyclops about to enter in high school.

This is all assuming that the actor is the same age of the character, though, which is almost never the case. A late teens-Havoc and a mid-twenties Scott makes sense. Actors up through their mid-30's would be able to play Scott in that age-range without anyone thinking there's a huge age-gap.

Nicholas Hoult - Tye Sheridan (7 years gap).

They can pass as brothers perfectly and none would complain. 7-8-9 years gap is so relative in this day and age. General audience wont be able to guess if on screen brothers look too old from each other lol.
Next topic.

Do you guys really think actors of 30 and 23 will look so much different on the big screen?
Hell no, lol. For example, put Taron Edgerton next to a 24 years old actor, and you wont guess the ages of both lol.
I don't think the age an actor is really matters as opposed to how old they look and act. If Cyclops and Havok look close in age (with Cyclops a few years older) I don't mind even if the actor for Havok is older in real life or much younger.

Yeah totally. Since the age of 40 the closest anyone has got to guessing my real age is 11 years and last week someone guessed 21 years younger. And when I was a kid some people (adults at my uncle's restaurant) though I was 9 years older than I was. A bit like Benjamin Button :D

I don't mind an age difference between Scott and Alex, but I think it should be limited by the fact that Scott really needs to a child when their family's plane goes down. That's a problem I had with Fox's version of Cyclops. They gave him a assumably normal, perhaps even a happy, childhood. And that's just not Cyclops. He's one of those characters whose personality is strongly connected to their tragic backstories. Look at his self-doubt and need to prove himself, his social awkwardness and the codependent nature of both his romantic relationships and his relationship with his adopted family, the fellow X-Men. They all stem from his childhood as a lonely, abused orphan. It's not the same story if he loses his parents just a couple of years before the age most young people move on their own anyway.

So this is how MCU X-Men look in my mind at the moment:

A big yes to your Gambit. He was my pick ever since I saw him in Insecure.

Just curious you know your wolverine already plays the punisher and your psylocke is Electra in marvel!! (Granted they both were good n Netflix shows!! But other than that I like your choices

Lol at Benjamin Button.
In my case they used to tell me I was younger when I was a teen or young adult.

About the age topic of the Summers bros.... Id preffer Havok to be younger this time around. But yeah, you made the right point, it doesnt matter the actual ages, as long as they look close enough, specially taking into account their comics origin with the plane crash and all. Ideally a 4-5 years gap would be perfect, but Im fine with a big more flexibility. 5-6 years would be fine to me too. As long as we see that iconic flashback scene with actual kids, Scott would finally have a great origin story on the big screen (unlike whatever SK did on XM Apocalypse)

The x-men dominating the next phase feels like when the picked on kids finally graduate from high school and go on to much greater things

A X-Men saga would only make sense if it revolves around the X-Men, X-Factor, X-Force, New Mutants and a bunch of X-Men solo Xpin offs.

We probably still have the Eternals, Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, Wakanda, Capt. Marvel, Shang-Chi, the Thunderbolts, Blade and the Fantastic 4 after phasiX.

There's also plenty of legacy characters and other heroes appearing in the TV Xeries... like good luck forcing mutants in every Marvel ip.

Marvel doesnt need luck. They CREATE luck.

Luck didn't save the Eternals for getting bad reviews and the latest mcu fliX to get middling reviews. Yeah good luck forcing mutants in a Mutant Saga in a universe filled with other ips.

The comics already set the precedence of mutants showing up in every IP decades ago
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised If there's at least one mutant character (large or small, not saying famous X-men here) in just about every property after the multiverse saga concludes

Yeah, it doesn't mean every story will be a mutant story. Not every film in the Infinity Saga revolved around the stones. Hell, seems like most of the Multiverse Saga projects have nothing at all to do with the multiverse.

My guess is a potential Mutant Saga wouldn't be 100% mutant-specific projects. You'd have a mix of stuff with some characters being developed or introduced who have nothing to do with mutants but will play into a later conflict involving them.

Infinity
Multiverse
Mutant

Mutants are too broad to be contained into a saga, which I don't see it happening. There would be more stories to tell about the mutants after Phase 7, 8 and 9. Infinity Stones already ended. The Marvel Comics don't rely on Multiverse stories all the time so they could be contained into a single saga for the films. But mutants...theres plenty of stories/characters/mutant teams to adapt and who's gonna be the big bad of The Mutant Saga - Magneto, Apocalypse, PhoeniX, Onslaught or the X-Men themselves?

Comparing the Eternals and Thor to the X-Men.......
What a diservice.
