That was my first reaction too. If Simmons does play, and I suppose he will, it will take him some time, BUT look at the pieces the Nets have now. IMO, Kyrie is a shooting guard that happens to have a P before the G. If you have Kyrie, Kevin, and Seth on the floor at the end of a game, how the EF do you guard that? I would mostly have Simmons setting up the offense and driving. You can put him on just about anyone on defense and he doesn't have to shoot on this team. That being said, Philly kept Harris and Maxey, added Harden, and still have some pretty good depth on the bench. It'll be interesting to see if they go after a 5 to spell Embid or hand that over to Bassey.

I truly believe Harden is one of the most overrated players in NBA history. He's figured out how to manipulate and trick the game with flopping, walking and a whole bunch soft whistles to bail him out of horrible shots. It's preposterous to even mention him in the same breath with Jordan, Kobe or Wade, especially after what he just pulled to escape HOU.

Speaking of, let's see now that's Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, John Wall, Westbrook & DeMarcus Cousins, not to mention the role players he's had in HOU too. Hell they even got him "Lin-sanity" at it's height and gave Carmelo a shot smh. Only to jump under KD again along with Kyrie? How many All-stars has he played with now? You still can't win???! At what point will it be Harden's fault when this also doesn't work?

There's not one leader amongst those three. Not one. And sure they could win a bunch of games and make the playoffs and maybe even the Finals. But they will NOT win a championship as currently constructed. Mark my words....

Hadn't heard about that trade, but it sounds like 2 teams trying to dump S*** they don't really want. Randle did some nice work out here a few years ago, but I guess mgmt felt he got too expensive or something.

I like the guy. We went to the same high school and I took some classes at UCLA before transferring to Santa Cruz. He just doesn’t seem to be able to change his game and the amount of money he makes is going to cause a lot of teams cap problems. Westbrook was always overrated. This isn't news to me.

I think it's funny that KD seems only capable of getting the worst "gut check" guys on his team. Kyrie, Harden, now Simmons. They might win a title because KD is that good, but it's pretty clear how good he had it with guys like Curry, Klay and Draymond.

The NFL equivalent to Westbrook was Chad Johnson (ocho cinco) great at improvising and getting stats but when he went to a serious organization (Patriots) showed he just had terrible situational awareness
