He actually is, it's just anchored to the sides instead of straight upwards. It doesn't connect to buildings.

hmm it looks like its hitting the buildings to me, so close enough I guess

Yeah it's like in Web of Shadows where the anchor points were close enough to buildings most of the time that no one really cared.

I do like how you can "swing" on it and it is determined by when you release the trigger, it does sound like a fun little system

Gameplay looks pretty good.

And I gotta say, Sam Riegel's ****ing perfect as Spidey.

What's the point of the dialogue options if you have to pick each one anyway? Lol

....I really need to see the upgrades for the swinging and the combat. So far the swinging looks very unappealing. It doesn't look like I have true control. Ok have to admit the momentum thing with the web rush was pretty cool. However......that helicopter was so far away.

Yeah it's like in Web of Shadows where the anchor points were close enough to buildings most of the time that no one really cared.

I would agree if it weren't for Beenox admitting the webs attached to buildings. I'll wait for some more gameplay before making my judgement.

I liked the momentum thing with the swinging, the earlier the release the faster you go, the slower the higher you go. You can choose NOT to release it and swing around like a ragdoll I assume? Hell yeah.

I'm actually kind of blown away by how good the swinging looks.

No offense but I don't see how it looks that great if I'm being honest. It doesn't look like I am in control of Spidey while he's on the web. I'm telling you. It's the lack of the bottom of the swing mechanic that's really throwing me off. Him swinging on an angle is not SM2 mechanics. Hopefully the game will surprise me with the upgrades.

Anyone else notice that web rush STILL does the same thing were you can "web rush" to the MIDDLE of the air? Like when he fires his web to the helicopter the web hit the sky and then he got the the copter. And when he was using web rush after that he did another CLOUD web rush. Sigh.....it looks like Beenox still doesn't get it.

And once again I will say this. Their system really needs a manual web system. I should be able to web rodeo and fire web lines manually. The fact that I can't continues to bother me because most of the web lines used in combat are AUTOMATED.

My impressions so far:

City detail surprisingly good. I watched both first 15 minute videos to check if the cars at the start were scripted, and i'm pleased to say that they weren't. Mainly the colour is different, but it isn't the same car, which gives me hope if you do generally just walk around the city it will be that busy, and not only like it for that scene.

Beside the pop in, I think it looks very good, city wise. Lots of cars on the street, and this time at night the buildings look so much better, every light on at it really fits the NY vibe. That Empire State Building though. The Oscorp tower isn't the one from the sequel, but who cares since they're basing it off their own universe and they already changed the building once from that brick from the last game.

I don't care about the fighting, to me it looks the same as last time which isn't a bad thing. Not too fussed on this part.

The swinging is the only real problem right now. It looks way too slow, and i'm hoping this is because of the upgrades. Hopefully toward the end of the game the swinging looks so much better, because right now it feels a bit like you're on the moon with barely anything keeping you to the ground.

I can't wait to see how it will look on my PS4 at 1080p. For £40, very good buy I think.

take those links down guys you're gonna their stuff taken down. I said it the last time we had a convo about links

Love the car chase gameplay with the hostage.

The first swing upgrade look like they don't actually add any speed. You know what's missing? The speed-blur effect and the bottom of the swing mechanic.
