What bugs me is how people are unintentionally making the web slinging errors happen. They always swing when they shouldn't, meaning the player ends up sliding across buildings with the same level of momentum before the "clipping?" into the building ends, and the normal swing continues. It ruins the belief.
Web slinging is best as Spider-Man actually does it, low, and close to the ground. Plus you get to see that city detail up close and notice pop in less (since if you're up high then you'd notice how empty the streets look).
Thats why I get so frustrated watching these walkthroughs! I just sit there watching and yelling, ''No!!! Don't do that!!" Every 10 seconds.
Are we 100% sure about the no Gwen thing?
Beenox make some dumb decisions, everybody LOVES Gwen! Every character from the movie is in it except her!
kbrooksgohan no one cares about your endless rants, I'm not going to stop discussing the lack of Gwen Stacey just so you can continue bashing the game on every page. We get it by now, the game sucks. It's TASM1 with a few changed up things. Yes we hate it too, can we move on already.
Are you guys sure she's not in the game? They better release story DLC featuring her or that's a REAL game breaker for me with possible pre-order cancelling, because no Gwen = no Spidey game for me. I can't believe they went the cheap route just to not spoil anything from the movie, ridiculous to say the least. "Adapts key moments of the movie", Petes and Gwens relationship is ESSENTIALLY the whole big thing the movie is about. Harry & Max/Electro is more or less a side-arc that you could cut out because it's all about Peter and Gwen, nothing else.
I still think this game will be fun, but seeing the gameplay only reinforced my wanting of another company making Spider-man games. We need someone who can bring us something ground breaking.
I don't like that the side activities are once again things you have to activate instead of them actually happening in real time. I mean come on..if Spider-man 2 and Ultimate Spider-man could do it, why can't we have that now? I want to be swinging in New York City and see a burning building in the distance, then I want to be able to go into it and save the people inside without a loading screen. That would be something I would expect from a game built for next gen. I can only pray we get a game like that someday.
At least the web swinging looks like it's more fun that the last game. The animations are a little clunky and awkward though. I not really a fan of wall running with the same button as the web swinging, Why couldn't Y/triangle (since it's the wall crawl button in this game) do that if you held it. Now I'm starting to realize how important the sprint button and charging your jump was! It gave you so much more control over Spidey.
New York does look a million times better though. Much bigger buildings and more accurate to the real New York City. It does look like it'll be fun to swing around that!
Screw Beenox we knew the actual game would be pretty aweful but that doesn't mean they had to mess the story up by cutting Gwen out as well! Just crazy

Just asked an acquaintance of me and he confirmed that Gwen is indeed not part of the game. She only gets mentioned once in a conversation between Pete and Aunt May.
There goes all hype for this game, playing with the thought of cancelling my pre-order now.
So dumb! Why do people insist ofkilling Gwen in all sorts of ways, first the clocktower and now this mysterious dissapearance
Becauseshe dies. That's kind of her thing.
...I honestly didn't know Gwen was that big of a ****ing deal. I am not bashing anyone for it (despite my colorful vocab) but dang, that just wasn't on my list of concerns. I think it'll be good fun for $20 down the road. For now, screw it, Mario Golf is a' callin'.
