because you can play only one at a time and I don't see the point of owning two... but he's a grown man probably so he can buy whatever the hell he wants, I'm just wondering why he chose to have 2

maybe he has more than one room in his house? Maybe he lives with other people? I see nothing wrong with owning two systems

The Dragon Quest Metal Slime Edition PS4 Sold 38,000 Units In Japan. December 23, 2014 . 3:00pm

It helped that each of the Dragon Quest-themed consoles came with a download code for Dragon Quest Heroes.

During the week of December 8th, Sony released a “Dragon Quest Metal Slime Edition” PlayStation 4 in Japan. Japanese sales tracker Media Create reports that the special Dragon Quest-themed console sold 38,000 units, bringing total PS4 sales for the week to 68,041.

That’s the highest PS4 sales have been during any given week in Japan since the console’s launch back in February, when it sold 309,000 units.

It also helped that each of the Dragon Quest-themed consoles came with a download code for Dragon Quest Heroes, which will be released on February 26th, 2015 in Japan.

Square Enix currently have three Dragon Quest games in development that have been mentioned publicly. There’s Dragon Quest Heroes for PS3/PS4, Theatrhythm Dragon Quest for the Nintendo 3DS, and a brand new Dragon Quest Monsters game for an unspecified platform.

Jesus, when did I say there was something wrong with owning two? Normally, people don't, and that's why I asked him, coz I'm curious. Instead I'm receiving answers from everyone else

Relax, I don't think anyone was insulting you. Havok only put up what he was wondering about why he may have two PS4's and his opinion on it since the OP hasn't responded. He was also just responding to your remark about not seeing the point of owning 2 consoles, I could list some like Havok did, but I won't. No big deal.

This. I just posted two of the more common reasons why a person would have more than one of the same console

Heck, I'll list one just because. But I work with people who own these systems too, some are married and have kids and joke about not wanting to share their systems with their little ones. Some have even gone as far to buy 2 systems, one for them and the other for their kids to enjoy.

Well I never said there was anything wrong with it. What you just mentioned though is something I plan on doing if I become a family man.

so, I upgraded my hdd to a 1tb one. After the reinstall, and before installing anything else, I had about 861GB of available space.

so, for anyone looking to upgrade to a 1tb drive, that's probably the amount of space you can expect.

also, when you download the system software file to your USB stick, MAKE SURE you download the LATEST update and MAKE SURE you download the file for the full system reinstall, NOT just the update patch.

For example, for 2.03, here's the download page:

http://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/system-updates/ps4/

it says on top "Latest Version: 2.03" Make sure that matches whatever the latest update version is. I made the mistake of going to an older page and downloading the 2.02 file, and the PS4 wouldn't recognize it ( which freaked me out.....lol ).

Also, DON'T click the Download Now button at the top of the page. that's just for the update patch file, and not the full system reinstall file that you won't.

Instead, scroll down the page to the section "Perform a New Installation of the System Software" and use the Download Now button in that section to download the right file.

I swear these hackers really have nothing better to do than inconvenience gamers everywhere.

How long has it been down altogether?

These guys need to get a life.

Good things I didn't buy that 3 month subscription for PS Plus...would've been majorly and homicidally pissed! :argh:

Do they give refunds for things like that? Imagine you'd used a 48 hour code lol.

Both services were down weren't they?

I think so. Haven't been on it at all myself over the hols though. I thought these "closed systems" would be harder to hack for some reason (not that I have the 1st idea about how they work).

I actually used that when I thought I hadn't upon trying it for GTA online and by the time I got back on, because my PS4 would suffers those problems with Sleep Mode and logging into PSN, I only had 9 hours left to play :argh:
