The Matrix Resurrections

The first Matrix ends with the the fantastical. It's telling the rules of the Matrix are there to be broken. There should be no "going back" to what the first film is in that regard.
Yeh and “arguably” it started going downhill from there. So I wished they figured out a way to make this feel different and fresh but not too familiar.

This seems to be the case for a majority of blockbusters in the last few years :funny:

this trailer spoils that Jonathan Groff is Smith. We know that Lana wanted Hugo Weaving back. which means that in the original idea it was not a twist that its Smith who works with Neo in the company. the first trailer would also end with Hugo Weaving saying '' back where it all started back to the matrix''. this would change everything.

Lana wanted Hugo Weaving back but didnt want to change the filming schedule. Some speculate/think that Weaving wanted to negiotiate more money and expected to get it because he didnt expect that they would recast him.

a problem i see in the trailer is that Jonathan Groff is doing a Weaving impression

its hard to talk about NWH because it depends if the person who you are talking about.....knows.

Okay I wasn't all that impressed with the previous trailer, but this new one actually makes it look like it could pretty awesome, especially the action sequences and the visuals. This is a much better trailer IMO and now I can't wait to revisit the first three movies this month in preparation before this movie comes out.

Only two weeks away so I'm skipping the new trailer. Like what I'm reading though.
It looks incredible, honestly. If this does poorly at the box office, it'll be so damn tragic.
It's tracking for a 35-50 million opening weekend. Let's just hope that it manages to leg it out during the holiday season.

I'm very excited for No Way Home due to the raimi verse involvement. But I'm also super excited for this tbh, so it's hard for me to say. This is easily the most gorgeous looking movie this year, along with Dune, if you ask me. It's been so long since we've had a Matrix movie, so I was gonna be excited regardless.

I suspect things are a bit more complicated than what we saw in the trailer.

Carrie Anne Moss as Trinity has always been the humanity at the center of this story, warms my heart to see her again.

The "maybe this isn't the story we think it is" feels to me like the plot isn't about Neo, but Trinity. Which I look forward to seeing how it plays out, as I feel it is going to get weird.

I'm looking forward to both and would have rather they were kept apart a bit more.

I love the entire trailer, but the moment that got me the most was Kristoff screaming, "Mr. Anderson". It legit sent a chill down my spine. When I was a kid, Agent Smith felt like the ultimate boogeyman, and the way he said Neo's "slave" name, always really hit me in the chest. Here, it almost sounded like he was waking up, remembering the person he hates the most. :funny:
