Less than 24 hours now. I’m seeing it tomorrow.
Hopefully I’ll get as much out of it as the people that have loved/liked it. I’ll share my 2 cents tomorrow.Nice, I hope you enjoy yourself. It will be interesting hearing some Hype members' opinions as I'm still five days away from my viewing.

Enjoy mate! Looking forward to what you have to say about it.Less than 24 hours now. I’m seeing it tomorrow.
I am now reading comments online from people who have already seen it and it apparently has quite extreme tonal differences.
Reading that everyone in the movie acts like an idiot, there is an overload of silly jokes and then you have Gorr, who is quite serious and doesn't really fit with the goofy rest portions of the film. It apparently is a non-stop joke fest. Any moment of drama is undermined by a joke immediately afterwards and worst of all - the jokes don't seem to have landed this time around as they did with Ragnarok.
Also, several comments of people who also said it's the least visually inspired film in the MCU and a lot of the shots look plain ugly and unfinished.
I am still excited to see it tomorrow night, but I had really hoped this didn't go so overboard with the goofiness.
I've also seen social media reviews that say the serious moments in this film aren't undercut by jokes, so there you have it prime reason to form to your own opinion on things.
Also is a Taika Waititi film, for anyone who wasn't expecting that I have a bridge to sell you.
Where are you reading these?
Go on the International release discussion thread in r/marvelstudios. Almost everyone there who's walked out of the cinema, says it's overloaded with jokes - in a bad way.
And I love Taika. Ragnarok is Top 5 MCU film for me. But apparently the jokes in these don't land nearly as good as the ones in Ragnarok and there are also way too many of them this time around.
Of course I will form my own opinion. I am seeing it tomorrow and have it pre-booked for over 2 weeks now. But reading opinions beforehand certainly helps to put expectations in check.
The serious moments are definitely not undercut by jokes. Except maybe in the very beginning. Yes, it’s a straight-up comedy, but when it gets emotional, it 100% lands, imo. I got far more emotion from this than Ragnarok.
Seeing it very soon. Half an hour or so.
See you guys on the other side.
What an experience this was! I thoroughly enjoyed it.
There's nothing like it in the MCU and in parts it's almost experimental and from another era, both from the past and futuristic almost. There are some incredible stuff in this and other things that totally caught me off guard. It's simply unique, very different than anything else i've seen in comic book movies, let alone the MCU...
This film is so disarming in so many ways. Funny, heartfelt, action packed, insane visuals... all delivered in a very different way than Ragnarok or anything else in the MCU for that matter. I can easily see why some people where put off by the style because it's so out there and different that it's bond to alienate some people, me on the other hand genuinely enjoyed the ride and would happily see it again.
People have to experience it for themselves to understand what i'm talking about.
It's unique and special in its own right.
More, maybe. Idk. It’s tonally different. Like, Ragnarok felt like Taika’s humor applied to an MCU movie, while this feels more like a straight-up Taika film with some MCU elements thrown in, if that makes any sense.More comedy or less comedy than Ragnarok?
