Justice League Lounge of Justice - Part 85

I'd be up for this.

Just finished S2 of The Punisher, what a deliciously ultra-violent season!! I don't know if I'm alone in this and I don't care, but there was something about the pace of this season that made it all flow so fluently and steadily; I think pace wise, this is probable the best of the Marvel/Netflix shows, never too much, never too slow, just a perfect rhythm all the way through, and except for literally a couple of things here and there (on the technical level; a music cue here, a wonky camera movement there), I'd call it close to perfection and up there with DD.

Question for those who finished already...
In the trailer for the season, there's a shot of someone - presumably Frank - burning a Presidential pardon, but I don't recall seeing that during the season, did I miss it or was it just left out?? I think if anything it would've happen at the very end of the season, it seems to fit there.

What impressed me the most about this season was how effective Bernthal and other cast members were in bringing authenticity to the various interpersonal relations presented in the show. There was a natural sense of on-screen camaraderie that made everything all the more personal and emotionally resonant in my opinion. As far as pacing goes, just about every scene from episode to episode is tight and mostly devoid of filler. The story in general moves along rather effortlessly.

That clip was shot solely for promotional purposes. Thankfully, it's not in the actual web series.

lol, Cardi always fightiing with the likes of Tomi Lahren, btw... im not into rap/hiphop and i actually liked the song lol

Edit: i found the name of the song on her twitter :o

That's why it was disappointing to hear Johns talking about how the movies should be more hopeful as if he isn't responsible for some of the darker stories in DC comics. Barry's mother was alive until Johns got the book. How many GL's died during his run? He wrote Blackest Night. He turned the heroic Superboy Prime and Earth-2 Superman into villains in Infinite Crisis and had Earth-2 Lois die. He killed off Jonathan Kent. That's just off the top of my head.

And this isn't even a criticism of these stories, just that he writes some dark or heavy stuff too.

He's also writing Doomsday Clock which, if you stopped it at this point in the story, would seem like it was solely a mess up, dark reality. Sound familiar?

It’s PR.

That’s a lot more polite and diplomatic than blaming the creative team or studio. See how the hardcore fans got upset when Toby Emmerich said actually making better movies would help DC’s reputation.

Definition of a "better movie" varies from person to person, some of my friends and cousin brothers who used to be dc fans are now so opposed to DCEU movies that they don't consider Wonder Woman and Aquaman to be better movies either.

Edit: They want character driven stories with shared universe that don't have world ending threats.

Ugh I'm still only at episode 7 of The Punisher and I don't think I'll manage to progress further this week

I just watched that video of Viggo making a fool of himself during THR roundtable and Chadwick and Mahershala's reactions almost made me fell off my chair laughing

Chadwick has the best murderous gaze in Holywood

He was also responsible for making Jennifer Walters lose control of the She-Hulk and turning her to a rage filled monster hunted by her team the more Jennifer worried.

Movies are a different story, they should be more optimistic and established before getting into the chance to become darker

Ah Gaspar Noe. I remember convincing a good friend of mine to watch LOVE and boy was she surprised. Lmao.

He also killed off Conner Kent.

Wonder Woman and Superman killing poor Billy/Shazam, smh
Psychos!! Pure evil, that's why we won't have MoS2 ever! Karma :o
If only WB had stuck it out with Zack a little longer, we could've had fun and cool moments like this

Like Damaged Man killing Lois 'The Key' Lane. and then Superman proceeding to kill Morbius the Living Joker. Would've been grand. Thanks a lot, normies.

man, lil' ol' Mad Max Batman did quite the number on people

Im salty about not seeing the scene where they go to the cave all together and Batman says “brought some friends,” followed by flash high fiving Alfred. Screw your WB

just as long as Jared Leto's Joker got killed and forgotten about, I would've been ok with whatever injustice type thing they may or may not have been going for.

however, my only disappointment with superman murdering joker over batman would've been all the indirect manslaughter bats was responsible for even before the whole hypothetical knightmare scenario, but the worst thing he did in response to the crazy clown who killed his adoptive son was knock all his teeth out

at least make it consistent is all I'm sayin!

I'm high on a Batman kick, been on it since last September, and since I've watched Man of Steel I decided to give in and watch the extended cut of Batman V Superman once more. I do find it is as some of you say; an easy watch, but that's not to say I find it good or enjoyable, it's easy for no particular reason.

This crazy clown is an even better disappearing act than any onscreen Batman. He'll go down with an exploding choppa and leave no trace.

One can only hope

So since lead can be detected by a metal detector, how come it wasn't detected by the metal detector in the senate building?
This trash is next on my list of movies to watch. I'll watch this before watching the better Assault on Arkham film.
