Potential Spoiler for the Post-Credit Scene for Venom 2

yes, the end credit shows Eddie and Venom in a house on the beach having gone into hiding after defeating Carnage. Venom says he can show Eddie 1 second of what him and his kind have been through and does. Suddenly everything changes and a TV is on. It shows Tom Holland's spidey and Venom says 'I hate that guy' and licking the screen aggressively - cut to black. I guess Venom is officially in MCU and a film with him/spidey is next.

If true, then lol.

Very interesting.

So the symbiote is somehow going to already have history with Holland's Peter? Huh?

That sounds like something that could totally be real and fits the stupid and cheeky goofiness of this franchise. It doesn't make any sense though.

Sylvie, Wanda, and Peter have to have shows and movies all about how they broke the damn multiverse but then there's Venom casually peering through it for funsies.

That sounds believable. Also about what I expected lol

Not necessarily. I think it could just be a case of the Symbiote just disliking Spider-Man randomly because the symbiote just doesn’t like good guys. Or perhaps it’s bought into the propaganda that Spider-Man killed Mysterio. Either way, I’m kind of intrigued by this even if whatever direction they decide to take this thread in likely won’t end up being good.

Honestly, does it even matter? The Venom franchise I don't think is ever going to strive to be anything but silly ludicrousness. So it totally fits the tone they have chosen for these movies

True!

Sony ruined the whole Symbiote storyline and it's all their fault.

But LOL at that spoiler.

Remember the times about Ruffalo really act good drama with Hulk in Avengers? What happened to him, it seems he lost all the serious about the role and just want to have a funny time with it. His appereance in
Shang Chi
made me eye rolling as well.

You know, Kevin Feige might think the Hulk is a comedic character, but I’m glad the comics are going the other direction:

Eh, we've seen the black suit saga told plenty of times. It's a great story to tell with any Spider-Man, but I'm fine with them doing their own thing and whatever with it. The Venom movies are fun for what they are and I'm a-okay along this ride.

As much as I would've loved the Venom saga to begin with Spider-Man in the MCU, I also don't feel Spider-Man is as insanely integral as he used to be for the symbiote mythos, especially after Donny Cates' iconic run on Venom. Cates essentially created a great way to separate Venom from Spider-Man on a narrative level.

THE AUDIO FROM THE VENOM 2 MID-CREDIT SCENE HAS APPARENTLY LEAKED.

The audio seems to indicate that mid-credit scene is Venom watching the same news footage of Mysterio revealing Peter Parker is Spider-Man that Far From Home ended on. Venom watching the news of Peter Parker has been said before but it sounds like Venom actually says, “he looks tasty” instead of “I hate that guy”. The mid-credit scene actually takes place at the very end of Far From Home.

That makes more sense. I was fine with it either way, I love the campiness of it all.

Honestly, I know they'll fight, but I'm hoping that the Venom sequel results in something of a goofy buddy comedy between this Spider-Man and Venom. No idea who they'd fight, but it would be fun.

Today was one of the better What Ifs. This one and the Doctor Strange one are the best ones so far IMO. Michael B Jordan sounds like he loves playing this character.
