Hawkeye Episode 5: Ronin (Spoiler Discussion)

I got the impression they (Kinping-Val-Eleanor) were working together and Kinping is going to use her resources to and the Dark Avengers as a way to rebuild his empire now that the main Avengers are out of the picture. Much like Mysterio he would want to use the vacuum created after the snap to give people security. Thanos, the snap, a frozen celestial in the ocean and another one one's head popped up in the sky. People would want to look for someone to help.

If that's the route they are going then Fisk could not only have a role in Echo but a hidden one in Armor Wars.

Someone said that when Hulk snapped everyone back he added the caveat that It would be in a safe location.

How the gems would know is beyond me but that's enough of a explanation that it doesn't matter to me anymore haha

In addition to being awfully powerful the gems also appear to be sentient. Which is how the soul stone "knew" when Gamora and Natasha expired. My thinking is all you have to do is give them a simple request and the stones will do the rest of the thinking for you.

it’s not the same universe. KF already said, that the Netflix (and abc series) happened on a different earth.
It’s only the same actors

Meaning Fisk isn't necessarily married to Vanessa at all. I mean case in point, he's not in jail right now.

I don't think even Marvel could have envisioned how well Yelena would be received if I were them ill put a project with her on the fast track and thats coming from someone who's dying for xmen and F4 projects to happen

Where was this stated?

Unfortunately not. Also Dex’s injury didn’t happen (yet)…if they use the same actor

If the photoshopped pic was all we got of him this season, I would be disappointed. But he is no doubt going to be in the finale. The scene is meant to focus on Hawkeye's fear of Kingpin. That is meant to be what makes us fear him from a story POV. Not the picture itself. I am sure his first proper scene will be great and full of intense fear inducing drama.

Especially the way his wife reacted to his possible involvement they really setting him up to be a major player (pls dont drop the ball on this )

btw first series, that hasn’t received a post credits scene yet. Every other got one before the finale.
Though I expect one maybe even two next week. Maybe one that sets up the Echo series (Maya taking the Ronin costume) or one that teases Kate’s appearance in Ant Man Quantumania. Maybe Paul Rudd showing up (as rumored before)

Your post confuses me, are you saying you don't have a quite you can show me and are just inferring what you think Feige's approach will be as if he actually said it?

Ignoring my preference that they just use the shows as canon, there has never been a real statement on how this will be handled. So best practice will be to wait and see

Unless this is something he's said in the last day, I call BS. I don't care which direction they go but whenever he's asked about it he gives the usual politician no answer.

Well, Bob Chapek sure won’t be happy, if KF says: go watch the origin story over at the biggest competitor of the streaming market…

How much of Netflix has actually happened at this point? Is everything in play?

I will be surprised if Matt and Fisk meet for the first time in the MCU. That should not happen. They should have already met each other and have history.

The show is years old, so I don't think that matters at this point. It ain't like that will net millions of new subs for Netflix.

I think it will be a soft reboot of the characters in that Wilson Fisk has history with Matt Murdock, Karen Page and Foggy Nelson (not a good one) will also be a part of this extended universe.

I think Feige is bringing these characters back in part to bank on nostalgia to create buzz. It doesn't make sense to me to use that nostalgia only halfway. I think this will end up being left vague and like anything else when they want to do something that may conflict with Netflix stuff, they won't care or will have some kind of retcon moment like the fake Gauntlet in Odin's vault.

I find it hard to believe that Murdock and Fisk won't know each other. Charlie Cox said if he did come back it would be a reimagining but with the same foundation.

That doesn't mean much, really. That could just mean PG-13 vs R rated. It's a vague statement

Feel like changes like that can be chalked up to the Blip. He easily could've escaped/been freed at that time and we've really only scratched the surface of what things were like at a street level.

I think Wilson Fisk and Daredevil can work in a PG-13 setting.

I do as well. The show was just a bit more violent, so like I said a "reimagining" could just mean toning them down a bit. Like I said, it is a vague statement

The blip and 5 year time jump gives them a lot of freedom for whatever changes they want to make with the characters. Costumes, Fisk being out of jail, etc. They basically can use that to justify anything
