Yeah, Cap led the MCU from the front as an earnest character, the ultimate proof it can be done and that modern audiences still want a bit of that. They want the wit of RDJ Stark but there's room for this type of hero too, and also many long-time fans want this as standard in their Superman as the quintessential heroic character.

but guys and Gals we needed him to grow up we just didn't know it
thanks Snyder :loco:

I think we're all on the same page about Finn Jones as Iron Fist (lol) but how do y'all feel about Colter as Luke? Recast or nah?

Honestly, I say bring them all over. Even Finn Jones, but something tells me if we ever see Iron Fist again, it will be the new version of the character and not Danny. So you could just never address him and bring everyone else back.

Ya I'm thinking Murdock will make cameo appearances in She-Hulk, have a more substantial guest-starring role in Echo, which will set him up to headline his own Daredevil show. Exciting news...

In some ways I'm more excited about upcoming D+ shows than the rest of the announced MCU movies.

That is until we get concrete FF and X-Men news :D

Colter never seemed to fully click in the role. He's a good actor but he just came off too... idk.. sweet and mild-mannered for Luke Cage most of the time. So him, Danny, and Colleen could all be recast imo. I liked the woman playing Misty way more than I cared for Henwick.

Mothers Milk [Laz Alonzo] from the boys would be my choice for Cage

Speaking of Cap...I think it is quite a missed opportunity that we didnt get to spend more time in the WWII period.

There was a lot of elements that can be explored during that period.

Iron Man had 2 movies before we get to the Avengers...I kinda wish we also had 2 Cap movies set in the WW period before we get into the modern era. I agree that they kinda rushed it during the 3rd act of First Avenger to quickly jump into the Avengers.

But I know that time and budget doesnt warrant any of that...haha. (considering the state of Marvel Studios during phase 1 prior to Disney acqusition)

Iron Man only got a 2nd movie before Avengers cause the 1st made a lot of money and they knew a 2nd movie was a guaranteed money maker before Avengers. Marvel Studios pre Disney needed that guaranteed money. One reason I think the movie kind of feels like it exists for the sake of existing cause it was fast tracked.

Bring back Krysten Ritter, Elodie Yung, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Hensen, Jon Bernthal, Simone Messick and Jessica Henwick!

Mike Colter might be busy, and Finn…. Eh.
I can certify that Finn will most certainly be extremely busy.

Otherwise bring them all back!

@P Supreme speaking of The Boys, was just thinking that Jack Quaid from The Boys reminds me of Finn Jones. :funny:

Mike Colter is kind of in a Henry Cavill place with me. If they bring him back for more, uh cool I guess. If they recast, that’s cool too. Don’t really care either way. Would like Heroes for Hire with a recast Iron Fist at some point though.

Not a popular take but I would have loved a season 3 of Luke Cage. Colter couldn’t act to save his life, but it’s that damn supporting cast that made the show great.

Would’ve really liked to have seen what havoc Nightshade would have brought.

Hope they up their game with the fight choreography on Echo. Would hate to see DD be wasted with weak fight scenes.
It's going to look bad seeing Cox as Murdock if the action doesn't live up to how we've seen him move before. Hire some of the same people who worked on DD!

Confession time: I met Charlie Cox a few years ago at Fan Expo Canada. He was really, really nice, willing to answer all my questions, and also told him his Daredevil was my favourite portrayal of a superhero!

Gave me a hug too, but I was germaphobic so not fun for me, lol
