She-Hulk Season 1, Episode 9 "Whose Show Is This?" (Spoiler Thread)

What a wild finale. It didn't top the premiere or episode 8 but I dug it after being conditioned as a child to things like Looney Tunes episodes where Daffy would get into an argument with the animator and the ending of Monty Python and the Holy Grail and reading fourth wall breaking comics.

I was waiting with bated breath to see if it was actually going to be Feige in a cameo but K.E.V.I.N was hilarious to me. I'm just shocked that She-Hulk beat Deadpool to the punch with that kind of fourth wall breaking. Maybe the real Kevin Feige will make an appearance in Deadpool 3.

Also how can you not fall in love with Tatiana Maslany after seeing those adorable facial expressions when she mentioned X-Men and "smashing Matt Murdock" when talking to K.E.V.I.N?

Not liking Skaar's design. :/

Yeah I've enjoyed 98% of this show, but that Skaar design is f***ing terrible

He's long-haired Hulk with tattoos and a sword, how hard is that to make look cool?
but instead we get a doughy mini-hulk with a weird man-bun?
I'm like 90% sure that Skaar won't look like that the next time we see him. Think Thanos in his first appearance at the end of The Avengers.

HOT. @Kane52630 could you shoot me an avatar size of this? I'm at work and sadly not on my iMac.

It's amazing how different the suit looks in daylight
it looked great in the night scenes... daytime not so much

I loved The Incredible Hulk style opening, that was great. I get what they were going for with this episode and some of it worked but some of it didn't. The fourth wall break had fun moments but maybe went on too long? Everyone saw Todd as HulkKing, pretty sure it was revealed at one point before too.

Was happy to see Matt again as I wasn't sure he'd pop up again here.

All in all one of the stronger Disney+ series so far. Tatiana was perfect casting and I'm looking forward to seeing her future adventures in the MCU.

What a bonkers finale, lol!!!! This show was fun though.

I think for season 2, biggest change I would like to see is better legal scenes. The actual court scenes felt small and very sitcom esque. But keep the tone and everything else!
Yep, others have also mentioned this aspect could be better. Hopefully Matt is back next season and they upgrade the quality of the legal scenes. I really want them to team up in court on a case that also spills over to events outside of court. 2 super lawyers who are superheroes is the best representation you can get.

My only problem with this finale and it's a big one is that they gave She-Hulk the same level of fourth wall breaking powers as Gwenpool. Correct me if I'm wrong but Jennifer never stepped "out of the page" in the comics into the "real world". Jennifer can communicate to the writers mentally but not physically be in their world. This should've been saved for Poole, not Jennifer. As a result because I know that Jennifer isn't supposed to be able to do this, it actually feels like a big cop out. I think this twist was too much of a departure for She-Hulk as much as I liked it and would've LOVED it if it was Gwen Poole's show.

And wait where was Josh?

I wouldn't say Thor really had daddy issues, Odin was pretty damn supportive and never really forced expectations on him

Shoulda said Natasha or Gamora instead lol

I'm sorry, but that potato salad at Jen's family barbecue looked nasty as hell. I would not have tried it.

That was my only real gripe about that episode lol.

Haha, dude is a baby still. Hopefully he’ll go through the rebellious long hair and tattoo phase when the focus is on him in a new project.

Just wait until the end of the Born Again season where Matt is back for another BBQ at Jen's family's house and Kingpin shows up with the Coronas.
Will Jen's rewrites carry over to Born Again? Find out next Spring 2024!!!

How great would it have been if during the credits, when it would typically say "A Kevin Feige Production", it said "A K.E.V.I.N. Production" :funny:
Haha, genius. :D

This finale was different than all of the other finales, that's for sure.

K.E.V.I.N. was hilarious! And it even had Feige's trademark baseball cap on! That was brilliant.
The baseball cap was an amazing touch. :funny:

People are talking about Feige being overloaded, now he can delegate to K.E.V.I.N. to ease the burden.

Wasn't Thor's issues that his dad sheltered him into a selfish golden child who only humanized because Thor 1 or whatever. (I haven't watched it since the year it came out)
