My own guess would be late January/early February. That would be roughly 5 months before L&T comes out on July 8.

Marvel usually release the first teasers for their movies about five months before the movie comes out.

I think they will release the Teaser Trailer in January.

But we might very well get a glimpse or something else in one of the following dates:
Disney+ Day - November 12th
D23 - November 19-21st

Like it says in the article, he's probably playing one of the many gods being introduced in this movie.

As they're speculating here, it could be a flashback to Thor and Jane's break up prior to Ragnarok...

Yup, those pics of Hemsworth and Portman (and their hairdo's) basically confirm that this is a flashback to Thor and Jane's relationship in TDW era.

Which further shows that the Thor-Jane relationship will be central to L&T's story.

This also reminds me of something someone (I can't remember who) posted on here about a year or so ago. Basically, they were saying that L&T might show us Jane dumping Thor to reveal that the reason she did it was because she had been diagnosed with cancer and wanted to spare him the pain of watching her die.

Like @Fosterson mentioned they seem to be redoing the deleted breakup scene from TDW. I actually really enjoyed that scene, i thought Natalie Portman was doing a pretty good job and that thunder in the background when CH stood up was a pretty nice touch.

It makes a lot of sense for them to be showing this "backstory" stuff, so it brings people up to date with their relationship in a more significant manner. We knew they had broke up but how and why did it happen? That's pretty important narrative info, specially if the cancer storyline is an integral part of the film because, as mentioned before, those 2 things can easily be connected. By giving more importance and weight to these earlier things, it could then be explored in many ways and successfully paid off later on in the film.

Thor was an OK film. Thor: The Dark World was not. Yet, against all odds, the God of Thunder has established himself as the greatest Avenger. How? It’s namely thanks to Taika Waititi’s revisioning of the character in Thor: Ragnarok. Rather than making Hemsworth deliver sub-par Shakespearean prose, the filmmaker gave Thor a sense of humour – something that played to Hemsworth’s strength as an actor. The result was a charismatic, short-haired, smouldering superhero who was finally able to charm Marvel fans. If only he had been this way all along.

Absolutely. Although I don't agree that Thor 1 is just "OK". I still think its criminally underrated.

I'm calling it now that we're gonna find out that Thor proposed to her, and she turned him down.

This could link in with what I was saying previously about it being revealed that she dumped him because of her cancer and wanting to spare him pain.

Yep. There's even some other bts photos where Jane actually looks sad.
I could see them turning this scene into a kind of sweet, even lighthearted because of the hotdogs but ultimately sad situation.

Not everything in a Taika film is comedy. On the contrary.

If people have seen Boy, Hunt For The Wilderpeople, Jojo Rabbit... they know his stuff is more of a happy sad blend. Not to mention that for TLT they've already mentioned several times that it's going to be more emotional, touching...

I realised that was uncharitable, which is why I've changed my post.
