Final Comics week of July is here…july, man where does this year go? XD
Action Comics #1045
Ah such a good arc and we come to a potentially very heavy final stretch.
This is what I keep saying, challenge Clark on a level where his strength as Kryptonian isnt a lot of help, and you get something incredible.
Underrated as hell arc, don’t see too many people talk about it sadly.
But worth every issue.
Batman: One Dark Knight #3
Damn, already the end of this…too soon.
There could have been easily 4-5 issues a less “cleaner” ending, but overall this was incredible fun.
Visual, the writing…fantastic.
I loved how it felt really like you are on ground level and not looking at it from above.
The gritty mess Bruce faces day in day out, the dangers…loving it.
The creative team definitly would get my vote to return and all, the writing and the visuals fit nicely together and would bring a lot of good stuff.
Detective Comics #1062
Finally the run of Ram V and artist Rafael Albuquerque starts…it was about time.
First things first, the art is a bit surprising because I actually somehow expected something more fantastical and “poetic” or so.
The art isnt bad, but I somehow expected it to be “more”, cant really point my finger onto it.
At times the art looks a bit rough, but then there are panels that are really neat, especially the body language and poses of characters.
Maybe I only need to get used to it because I expected something else, I don’t know.
Writing set a great mood already and puts a lot of expectations on this…im ready.
Harley Quinn #17
Same as always, I love it, it has heart, the art is expressive and colorful…a joy to read.
Nothing outstanding or so, just its usual fun level of writing and drawing.
Robin #16
Well, I certainly didn’t saw THAT coming…nobody probably did. XD
The issue, yeah it was strong as usual…which makes saying goodbye to it harder.
Great art, fantastic writing, a broad use of characters…you love it.
I really don’t want this to end.
Swamp Thing #15
Dissapointed as hell how little attention this gets, because it is so god damn good.
The art is capturing your eyes, the writing your mind…an incredible series, even more since I read all issues so far in one go, it opened my mind to it even more and really shows its strength.
People miss out on some of the best Swamp Thing writing ever.
A great week to end July…a lot of fun stuff that as many other weeks makes you proud to be a DC comics fan.
