Allardyce
Moyes
Grayson
Coleman

Interesting stat. Maybe they have something in common. :woot:

Tragic. Happened after he dropped his kinds off to school. Thoughts are with his family. RIP.

Real shame. Feel very sorry for his family.

So just looked it up the transfer window opens at midnight tonight but for domestic transfer only as international transfers cant be done until that countrys window opens mostly in june/july

And the pl closes a month before everyone else so no pl club can buy after augest 9th but can sell

Are the people in charge of the pl drinking paint thats moronic

Should just be consistent with everyone else's.

Europa league final between Marseille and Atletico currently underway , 0-0 on 16 minutes.

The managers and chairmen wanted the transfer window to close before the start of the season. Other leagues are looking to follow suit.

Then uefa should adjust the window for all clubs to ours. The window should be shut before the start of the season.

Fair enough but it should never have been implemented until all leagues did the same doing so now puts the English teams at a severe disadvantage

Why? They buy their players earlier simples. Still have just under 3 months to get any business they want done. We can buy who we want from abroad. They just can't buy anyone. Might even mean we get the pick of the clubs that have to meet ffp before any sanctions hit. Gala, psg and milan all have to sell as they are facing sanctions.

The problem is other leagues can still buy from the English clubs during their extended windows.

The final was one-sided. Not the biggest surprise. Spanish teams seem to do really well in this tournament.

Just saw that Payet touched the trophy when leading out to the field. Wtf? Was he not aware of the curse? Of Gatusso touching the CL trophy in 2005?

Klopp better damn strap Lovren and Moreno's arms to their sides on the 26th!

Additional Comment(s) - Pretty much terrible most of the season. Hopefully things change for the better now Wenger has finally gone.

No surprise really:

In sum Germany, Brazil, and Spain most
likely to win
…According to our simulations, Germany,
Brazil, and Spain have the highest
likelihood to win the tournament.
Germany and Brazil are set for an easy
start, while Spain will have to hit the
ground running if they are to beat
Portugal, the current European champions,
in their opening game. Spain
will have to hit the ground running to
beat Portugal, the current European
champion, in its opening game. From
there, the going will get tougher for
Spain and Brazil, who will possibly face
Argentina and England, respectively,
in the quarterfinals. Both are former
champions. Germany, however, might
face Belgium, another strong, young,
and talented team, but De Rode
Duivels (the Red Devils) have so far not
shown their best form in big tournaments.
…but watch England, France,
Belgium, and Argentina for surprises

Except we cant buy anyone abroad until that countrys window opens. So the early months mean jack ahit unless your buying from another pl team

And as darth says it screws up due to the rest of europe being able to buy off pl teams

Say the window closes and real come in for de gea with a 50m bid after 9th August as they are still within theyre window and united stupidly sell. They cant buy anyone to replace him as our window is closed.

It should just be the same window for all the leagues.

There should be no windows imo. I mean, I like it in theory. But even then, it should go from like the beginning of July to the end of January.

West Ham are going for Benitez who is reported to be getting pissed off that he still doesn't know how much he has to spend. :csad:

You can buy from a country thats window hasn't opened. The window is only for registering players. As long as your window is open you can buy/loan a player.

Also a club doesn't have to sell if they don't want to. If madrid come in for de gea when our window is shut. Utd can just say no.

Can't see why benitez would go to west ham.

Also more talk of Arteta for Arsenal manager.

Really hope it’s a non starter.

Why would anyone want to go to West Ham? Basket case of a club - nearly as much of a shambles as the Swans!!!

He's on a good thing at Newcastle - but the lingering cloud of Mike Ashley & the projected takeover may just swing his mind...
