The Amazing Spider-Man The Lizard - How does he compare with Spidey's other onscreen adversaries?

I enjoyed the Venom theme, especially how it starts off creepy then picks up in volume.

Sandman should not of even been in SM3. Raimi didn't know how to pull off Black Spidey simply becoming more aggressive and rethinking what Uncle Ben taught him. So what Raimi did was put Sandman in and tie it to Uncle Ben's murder and that way the movie would be about revenge. What was stupid is how in the first movie Peter doesn't kill Uncle Ben's killer but in SM3 he suddenly wants to. Might as well throw out all the life lessons Peter got as Spider-Man out the window. Peter pretty much kills Sandman (in his mind he thinks he is dead) and goes on with life as normal. But he goes into a Jazz club and acts stupid and then all of a sudden the symbiote is evil. Raimi did the symbiote story arch horribly in SM3. Spider-Man should of wanted the symbiote off after almost killing someone. Not a week or so after believing he killed Sandman. Horribly job done on the symbiote story and I see this as more of common sense, not a opinion.

To be honest, Venom should stayed away from SM3 and just had Sandman and New Goblin with maybe the black symbiote suit...maybe. Venom could of appeared in a later film. It was pretty known Raimi didn't like the symbiotes.

Yea, that's what I'm thinking. But I still think it'll happen.

Electro is not really gonna wear a suit right? Just black clothes and stuff? What if Peter sees someone that reminds him of Electro and runs after him, and it turns out to be the killer?

I don't think it should happen like that. Perhaps he happens to spot the killer on the subway, or in another store, and follows him outside and then he has to decide what the right thing to do is, like bringing him into the police. Or maybe he follows him to his hideout and he turns out to be a henchman for Kingpin or Hammerhead.

I coulda sworn there was originally a scene shot where Spidey delivers the killer to the police in ASM, but they decided to not go that route.

Oh okay then. From the behind the scenes photos it kinda looked like a different scene. (Seeing how a lot of the uncle ben killer's dopplegangers looked kinda the same.)

It was just another thug that Spider-Man caught. The one hanging in front of the Police Station saying, "Help, arrest me! Get me out of here!"

I agree Venom should of been saved for a later film. But even if they saved Venom the symbiote story was still handled bad and not liking symbiotes isn't a excuse for the director to use.

They should have let Sam Raimi make the Spider-Man trilogy he wanted, then gotten another director for the fourth film to cover the symbiote story.

I like the Lizard the second best- in Spider-Man films I mean.

I think Tobey would have left if Raimi left. I recall reading, dunno if true or not, Tobey really wanted to do a film with Raimi and that's part of the reason for doing SM1. That may of been some Raimi hater BS, though. I do think he didn't care to much for Spidey so that may be true.

Your right it isn't a good excuse, but regardless I wish Raimi got to make the film he wanted to without studio pressure. Venom could of appeared in a spinoff film by a different director and just existed in the same universe.

I wonder how Connors/Lizard imagined life in New York after turning everyone into lizards. Maybe pretty much like it is now but with...ghetto-lizards, business-lizards, grossery store-lizards, neighbour-lizards, truck-lizards, kindergarten-lizards, taxi-lizards, maid-lizards, waiter-lizards and so on :oldrazz: a good, lizard american life.

lol

Lizard could make it a bi-weekly holiday or monthly holiday too when he has to re-fill the serum and gas up the city again as well to keep Lizard New York City, lol.

Lizardmas?

Lizard-Mass would be a great holiday, up there with Festivus.

Which brings me to a point I've had for a while...with not enjoying the TAS-M video game, I would've liked to see the video game only be a 'What If?' sequel to the movie where Lizard's plan worked.

I remember they did something like that in Star Wars: Episode III the game, where Anakin defeats Obi-Won and kills the Emperor.

Imagine Lizard's plan working, but mid-way in the game perhaps it mutates people into other things where you could use guys like Vermin and Rhino still and maybe Gwen could even turn and actually turn into something this time around.

Video Games are great opportunity to do all crazy things like this. As long as its fun, it doesn't matter if it makes sense or not. Imagine playing as Venom trying to hunt down Spider-Man and torment him?

Would've been a great campaign for Web of Shadows. That's why I love the idea of you playing as Joker in AA, but sadly it was only for PlayStation, which I don't have.

Didn't you get to play as Venom in the Ultimate Spider-Man game?
