What? So that's the excuse for unexciting combat? And half baked web mechanics?????? He can't even fire a regular webline without it being AUTOMATIC. The gameloft video had some really exciting looking combos. And they were very realistic looking. Besides this is a game about a guy who can stick to walls and swing from buildings. Realism when out the door along time ago.

No the gameloft video looks terrible, especially the combat, I don't know what you guys are looking at. It's good for a mobile game, but if I saw that stuff on my console I would immediately take the game disc back and ask for a refund. The only thing it has over the console version is the dedicated webline button, that's it. The game will be more fun to play on the consoles, it's really no competition between the two.

I think it looks terrible.

It's good for an iPad/Phones game, but that's it.

Comparing both of the games is pretty stupid actually.

Anyone who actually thinks the mobile game will be a more fun or satisfying experience than the console game is a moron.

I've seen people complaining about the graphics on the console version but I think they're fine. What's the general consensus here?

The only thing that's a bit disappointing is the draw distance. Everything else looks pretty much exactly how I expected.

Dont insult people.......and furthermore I didn't say it would be better. I said the combat looks more fun and exciting. More than what Beenox has shown so far in this game. And I was also referring to the basic web system missing from the consoles. It looks like this game has it.

So its dumb to compare a game thats based on the same movie? And when I see more exciting looking combat I can't make an observation about how it looks because its stupid? I know its a mobile game but I am not a fan of the some of the animations and lack of new combos in Sm2.

Yes, because neither the target, neither the platforms and neither the scope are comparable. It's not comparable because it's not the same game basically.

And, in my personal opinion, if you have to compare, the combat in this is similar to fight punching bags (and animations at best are equal to the console version). It's like 20 hits to defeat an enemy that won't even try to counter you, with the single strike button (because the web button is as useful as in the console version, zero). At least the console one tries to have some Freeflow-style combat.

Not everyone is a fan of freeflow combat, or think it is necessary
If they want the freeflow to stay they should at least add more moves, update the combat, make a difference
With implementing the freeflow they kept the combat restricted, and not in the most fun way

If you look at the 30 min video, you can see that Spidey basically does the same 5 moves all the time. I Think the combat in the console game looks a lot better.

I gotta thank you for saying something different
But I'd like to know if the 30 minutes video is straight up gameplay without cutting, or the trailer repeated 30 times

It's on the last page and it's straight up gameplay, that's where my thoughts on the combat come. There is nothing particularly exciting about it, enemies stand in one place and you push one button to see the same wonky animation and that's it.

The start is a bit lame, like Shattered Dimensions
Wonder if it improves with upgrades, to look as good as it does in the trailer

This might be a little nit-picky, but did anyone else notice that the spider logo on the back of the Mobile version's costume is the logo from the first movie and not the second movie? Odd error...

Your incorrect. In the trailer it shows that he has different combos with the web button.

This is slightly off topic and the mobile game looks good but...

Has anyone realized that Activision and Disney are really the only companies that release full fledged movie tie in's anymore. Now, movie tie in games are usually mobile tie ins. I rather have Beenox take their time to develop a proper Spider Man game than some lazy movie tie in

Not going to lie...my excitement kind of dropped when I heard Sam will be reprising the role of Spider-Man. I do not like his Spider-Man one bit...

Hey I'm new to the forum but I have to say I'm actually exited to see how the finnal version of Beenox's game will look!

Welcome aboard :)

I admit I was hoping for someone else as well, someone better
At least he's not Drake Bell, all the complaints on the voice acting will get out of hand

He is alright. No Keaton or Harris but still better than Bell or the guy who did the voice for Spidey in the first two Gameloft games.

I actually like Sam a lot. It was just some of the lines in TASM1 I cringed at, hope they have better jokes this time around. He fits perfectly for the TASM reboot Peter Parker IMO.

Here's something that I don't like about Beenox's free flow is that spidey is always fighting on the ground
