On Xbox? Because the PS3 version once again lacks custom soundtrack option...

Yep,but still you can listen in a headset and mute the game, pretty much the same thing.

"I'm Spiderman" i great too.

Btw i thinking that Beenox will really nail the web-swing for real in the next one.

The symbiote was created to heal Norman, the "suit" heals everything and it protects the host, you know the rest...

Ah... so there is no venom involved like the mobile game?

Also, wasn't this game about Uncle Ben's killer...?

I seem to recall that being it's plot...

Thanks Andrew! Are boss battles better than the first?

Definetely, GG and Electro (there is only one to the two of them) are the best ones in my opinion.

-Shocker
-Kraven
-Kingpin
-Carnage

(Rest)

Morbius is hinted, they mentioned at Raven "Project Venom" while chasing Carnage.

They mention "Project Venom" at Ravencroft, Uncle Ben killer gets killed by Cletus at the beggining, and Kraven isn't really a mentor.

Spidey needs better marketing teams.

I was thinking about buying this, but I think it will be a waste of money. 5 hours to beat the game and little replay value other than collectables. And the city being dead with repeating side missions makes it meh. If only redbox had PS4 rentals.

Its different when you can hear the game and the soundtrack at the same time. And idk about your last comment. They are missing a number of features present in other games and some from their own titles. I think if they could have they would have. They seem set own doing their own thing and it still isn't sufficient.

There is a lot of things to do

-Combat Challenges
-Speed Challenges
-Photos to take
-Stan Lee comic book shop
-Suits to take
-Oscorp boxes to destroyer
-Audio files

But again if you didn't liked much the first then you shouldn't buy it,play it at your friend home since there is no demo and decide if it's worth it.

It's hard being creative & successful under the wings of big daddy Activision. Just happy for the guys that they're able to ship in time and not turned into a COD map pack studio yet.

I'm not going play this, but I'd be interested in reading a brief story break-down if you feel like writing one (in spoiler tags).

Oh okay then, well i'm really happy with this game,i think that the web-swing and the new features are really good :)

Yea but those things won't hold my attention for long. Just seems like random grinding just to pad out the game.

Andrew Lucas, have you given us a good breakdown of the webslinging? if not, could you?

How does it compare to the first ASM game? How does it compare to the original SM2 game?

Sprint button? Charged jump? can you hold a web line for as long as you want? Can you climb up a web line?

I can agree with that. Still....I don't think it's about being creative at all. Maybe there's some kind of legal reason that the SM2 system can't be recreated? If not why does Beenox keep trying to do their own thing and miss the mark each time? I think if they combined what worked with the sm2 system and added their controller rumbles features introduced in ASM1 they would have the perfect swing system.

That's my opinion obviously....

Why don't you just go and play Spider-Man 2 then? Nearly ALL of your posts on the past few pages are you saying how you want this game to be like Spider-Man 2. Its obvious you don't like this game. We get it. You don't have to play it. Why would you waste your time when you can play the most god sent game of all time that was only good for its web swinging.

Which was mediocre and glitchy at its best. Lame animations, no-sense physics (float in midair at the end of a swing for decades) and overall boring. Only thing it was good for was that it's the first open-world swinging mechanics and the webs have physical properties to them preventing them from going no-clip mode (going through all kinds of structures). It was good for it's time, but I'd rather have a completely new swinging system based on real-world physics. The web is supposed to be a webline, elastic, and not a straight line that doesn't stretch/bend.

Sooo... it was all lies?

All of it? Lies!?

Still buying it, lol! XD

Thanks.

SM2 hasn't aged the best in many ways but it has some fantastic attributes. It's fair to talk about wanting a next gen version of that same, or a very similar but updated, swinging system. It's got great physics and many great gameplay abilities interwoven into it that were missing from the previous game and they also appear to be missing from this one as well.

And this is the thread to talk about it in. Any other questions?

Okay here we go.

The game starts when Uncle Ben dies, pretty much the same thing as ASM, after that we are back to present where Peter is commited to find his killer,we start to hack some polices antennas to find a clue to where he could possibly be, Spidey after a time finds the killer and chases him only to see his body under trash bags and the initials C.K.in the wall.

Peter gets home and talks with Aunt May that Uncle Ben killers is dead and that he is felling relieved and guilty at the same time for feeling that way, Aunt May says that they wanted justice to be done but not in that way and that they finally can move on, the TV shows Oscorp being attacked and she mentions Gwen.

When Spidey infiltrate there free Max from the bandits and tells him that they should work as partners to stop the Mafia war that is happening there, and we can guess that Max got pretty excited, we reach Shultz and discover that he got his hands in a Oscorp tech and made Shocker gloves, when Spidey defeats him Shultz tells that they are doing this because of Cletus,he is killing every bandit out there

Later on Harry and Kingpin in a conference reveal the "Task Force" project that its made to stop crime and catch Spiderman if he gets in the way, everyone likes and support it

Kraven arrives in the city and is look for someone to leave his legacy with it before he leaves or dies, obviously this personagem is Spiderman, they agree to work together and to hunt Cletus,Spidey finds him and he is sent to Raven

Spidey searchs here and there and discovers that the Tasm Force is working for Fisk own agenda and that Harry is only giving the tech without knowing that

Spidey goes to his hideout, defeats him and when he is searching for proofs a vid from Raven pops and show Electro escaping it (Yes we don't see Max changing it).

Getting a break, give me some minutes. (I shortened a lot the story)

So, it looks like this game has different upgrades for each suit
How many upgrades per suit are there? And how many times can you need to fully upgrade one attribute?

??? If you read my posts carefully you will see that I made reference to SM2 because it had a lot of what I think needs to be added to make a more complete Spiderman game. I also mentioned other positive additions from other games even some from Beenox that I think should be combined to make a better game.

I made observations based off what I was shown. Is that illegal? Is it wrong to make suggestions? To me the best web system has been the SM2 swing system. It didn't swing from the clouds and it had a good sense of speed and a lot of features that helped make traveling around the city enjoyable.

I didn't repeat the same sentence over and over. I'm sure others know how much I liked the features in SM2 but I also mentioned other games so I don't get your point. :yay:

Lol. I respect your opinion but I never suffered one glitch with SM2 and what lame animations are you referring too? i think that game had a lot more variation. It had air tricks and at least it had more options than what Beenox allows us to do. In it's defense Beenox automates mostly all of their movement. SM2 is 10 years old and the reason why most fans bring it up is because to them it's quality has not been topped yet. Of course it's going to age....it was a PS2 game. But it's not unreasonable for people to suggest what worked for that game in the current and next gen game systems.

This. This. This. Thank you for being a voice of reason. :yay:

Sure.

Its a MAJOR improvement over Tasm1 but SM2 still has the medal of best swing.

-Webs really attaches to buldings, but sometimes it stick in the sky and you can still swing in Central Park

-Spidey can be very fast if you want to

-Catapult Jump (That one he made in one of the trailers at Oscopr)

-You can boost it holding both triggers

-Spidey holds in the web (WoS)

-No,you can't climb the web

-No charge jump (using webs)

I think its this.

Yes there is,they upgraded when you level up,i think they have three categories.

The categories upgrade together, isn't about choosing it.
