But I think MV said it earlier, these are for the fans. Fandome being "super successful", which I'm not sure how that's gauged, but most of us are already engaged.

So a little segue here, so from io9 which the article should have been about the Snyder Cut premiere, the top comment is about Snyder going off on Mendelson.

But digging further in the comments, I stumbled upon this that I've never seen before from 2018.

I’m talking about a fan event similar to Star Wars Celebration. I’ve always said DC and Marvel are big enough to not need Comic-Con to promote their stuff, and that both would be better off just ditching Comic-Con/Hall H to do their own convention to premiere trailers and make announcements for movies, television shows, comics, and videogames.

Yeah, I’m kinda shocked at how stupid Darkseid looks. Like, really? That’s the best you can do after all the hype? And Steppenwolf just looks like a cross between Tim Curry’s devil character from Legend and one of the Silverhawks. Desaad looks okay though.

Steppenwolf looked like a video game character in the first place. I understand they wanted him to look more physically imposing, but he'd have looked better if he was just Ciaran Hinds in prosthetics.

Yeah I still would've preferred a physical actor for Steppenwolf.

Looks better than Steppanwolf did in the movie to me. Just does. Plus, I imagine the shot will still be worked on during post. Can't promise it will look much better, but it doesn't bother me honestly. Plus, it likely isn't Darkseid's final form anyway. Prob just how he looks in the flashback.

That really look good to you? After Thanos there is no excuse for Darkseid to look like that. I understand they had to rush the trailer for Fandome but why would you open your trailer with such an unfinished CGI thing? BTW my understanding is that Snyder is getting like a lot more money to finish his cut than Joss Whedon did, and certainly more time. That awful CGI better not make it to the final film.

This movie was also made before Thanos (IW Thanos I mean....I know he was in other movies prior, but I assume we meant IW/EG). So it is not like they filmed this yesterday. They're still working on effects from years ago. I didn't say it looked great or anything. Just saying shot is likely unfinished and even still he looks better than Steppanwolf did in the completed movie.

Snyder I understand is an easy guy to hate and all. I will make fun of the man for calling his film for grown ups all day with y’all. But this is unfinished CG in a trailer. We see unfinished effects shots in trailers. It happens. I will wait and see how it looks in the final film.

I do find it funny the fans of Snyder on this site, last year were like, can we just get the rough cut of JL with the unfinished CGI? Let Snyder finish his story that's all we want.

After Snyder Cut is announced, so let's talk about JL2 & JL3, MOS2 and I think Affleck and Fisher will get their own movies.

So? That doesn't really mean anything. It's still a clip in a trailer. My guess is he will look about as good as Doomsday once the shot is finished.

And that's not Darkseid, that's Uxas/Baby Darkseid according to Snyder.

Again, I like the design more than Steppanwolf in the theatrical. Different strokes I guess.

Perfectly subjective. To me, he looks like a barbarian warlord or something with hints of Apokolips stuff. Its fine for a young Darkseid IMO. This won't be his final look at the end I bet. Where I agree is the CG ain't great, but again it is a trailer. It likely will get touched up.
