Lounge of Justice - Part 90

Liberto's physical appearance notwithstanding, she generally described herself as being of Italian, Irish and German stock. And it was only until recently that her mixed race heritage became public knowledge, with Henry Louis Gates Jr. confirming it on an episode of Finding Your Roots. Point being, as Mangold wasn't privy to these details at the time of production, he wouldn't have been able to act on rumors and other unsubstantiated info w/o opening himself up to potential liability.

Yeah, but also read that she described her self mostly italian due to the racism at that time, which Cash and her still heavily got. I guess for me, this would've added a far more complex layer to this relationship, instead of the stay at home jealous wife character we got.

I appreciate the gesture of tagging me when it comes to hnnngh. But please do so with a name/insta name. Save me the trouble, good sir.

While I appreciate what Mangold is saying...Indy 5 is going to be a trainwreck. Indy 4 was at best half a good film (that is almost unwatchable when the nostalgia dies) and that was when Ford wasn't 100% mailing it. (it was 65/35 back then) His performances in the Di$ney Wars films were "Affleck at the End of ZSJL" terrible...and honestly his film choices have been awful since the late 1990s.

Di$ney just has to milk the charm out of everything...especially if it isn't their creation.

Am I the only one who thought Affleck was fine at the end of ZSJL?

Nope. Played it off as a tired billionaire who has already seen things from otherworlds.

Also, Eiza Gonzalez in a one piece and a dumb hat, she screams Zatanna to me.

I think part of the issue is that he is just there. He spends the whole movie crushing it (I really like him in the rest of the film) then they tack on a scene that wasn't needed and you can tell he really wasn't into. He looked more like Whedon Reshoot Affleck (not in body shape but in just boredom) than Snyder Affleck. I didn't buy that "Bruce is tired" thing that the Restore Crowd pushed because it looked more like Affleck was tired but not physically, mentally. He looked like me when my GF drags me out to some family event after I just had my first day off in a week. I am physically fine but mentally I want to be anywhere but there. Every response is half assed, nothing is really important and I am just counting the minutes until this is over with.

I just don't feel like Affleck was into it, and it shone through like a bright light. When Affleck was locked in and into the scenes in the Snyder films he leaped off the screen even if he is just standing there staring at the Batsuit. When he was checked out he looked like he was asleep at the wheel.

All of that is still better than Ford in the Di$ney Wars films outside of 1 scene so there is that ;)

I though Affleck was fine through his entire DCEU tenure. Love me some BatFleck!!!!
I read a while back something about having BatFleck in a Arkham style TV series on HBO Max. Not sure how true that is or if it would ever amount to anything. But I welcome BatFleck back in The Flash and will welcome him back with any future outings where he puts the cowl back on as well.

After watching the Justice League Theatrical Cut vs the ZSJL Cut, I felt you could tell when and where the cast had their hearts in it and when they didnt. ZSJL cut is 1000X Superior in my opinion and is the real and true sequel. "It was the film that we deserved but didnt need at the time"........ :D:cwink: Thankfully that time finally came.

I feel a Baldwin would have been a better fit for Batman than Keanu, but otherwise, I 100% love this cast and think it would have been amazing especially given the time! I'm not knocking Keanu, I love him, Just cant see him as Batman.

I cannot think of a single franchise that generates the kinds of headlines DC does. God bless.

Batman having sex with his young protégé Batgirl, no problem.

Batman engaging in foreplay with his wife/partner in an already vulgar, R-rated Harley Quinn show? Bridge too far.
And let's not forget about the Bat-dick controversy in a comic published through their "mature readers" imprint.

Lol, usually this kind of stupidity comes straight from WB themselves. But a rare dumb nitpick from DC.

So they were cool with taking Harley and a bunch of other obscure characters and placing them into outrageous scenarios with this show, but we can’t have Batman doing that in a show that most kids probably won’t ever see. Right.

Batman Bale-No
Batfleck- Yes
Battinson- Yes
BatKeaton- Yes
Bat Clooney- Yes
Batkilmer- No
Bat West- No
Bat Conroy- Yes

BTW the Patrick Swayze as Aquaman is now the film I never knew I always wanted! Bohdi never died in Point Break he just went home!! :applaud:up::eek:

Now would be a great time for those Pattinson doing the dirty with Zoe Kravitz on top of the batmobile rumors to really manifest themselves into reality

you just know my man Bob Pattinson is all about the two way street
