This is me whenever I read rumors and leaks about what happens in NWH:
Yeah I can see Tom on KimmelThey'll definitely hype up it up on social media the day before, we'll know when it's coming.
Just imagine the 3 actors on Kimmel.Yeah I can see Tom on Kimmel
Not been part of this conversation really, but I gotta say Venom/Carnage seems to have very limited marketing as well.
I only heard about/saw the trailer last week and still havent seen it before films at the theater. Also the posters at the theater are limited compared to normal Marvel flicks.
Sony may be working with limited marketing budgets or trying a new strategy.
I just want to point out in regards to prior discussions on marketing including Tobey or Andrew....Ghostbusters: Afterlife just put out a 2nd trailer, which while you don't see Ray's face you can hear his voice as the trailer ending tease. So yeah....Ghostbusters is also using the past characters to sell the new movie.
Just saying

I was just gonna mention the same thing. That Afterlife trailer is very telling on what to expect when the NWH trailer eventually gets released. We'll only likely get a very small tease of Tobey and Andrew, if that.
That is not a great example
Tbh Sony were very restrained on that trailer. especially considering how there is talk like Sony would desperately throw everything at all the wall to get a high box office. they didn't even show Dan Ackroids Face. let alone any of the others. the trailer used nostalgia, but man they were fairly restrained.
Why? You have been heralding this movie as an example of not showing the original cast as a selling point...and they just did exactly that. That makes it a PERFECT example. Unless you want to keep moving the goal posts
No my point was that the original cast were not used in the teaser, i actually thought they were gonna be used in the 2nd trailer... but they were not. i was kinda surprised about that. sure Aykroyd's voice is heard briefly and you have Annie potts there... but considering how the last Ghostbusters went down... they must have alot of faith in this movie.
Using the voice counts as being in the trailer. Its not like I now have to see the movie to find out that character is in the movie. The trailer just explicitly showed that they are.
But lets be honest, this isn't the type of thing you would expect from NWH? you would expect more right?
Thats where im at. The whole internet is chomping at the bit to see this trailer but i feel it may disappoint a lot. I dont think theyre gonna bring out the big guns everyones waiting for in the first look.
I think there should be a separate trailer thread because somehow every discussion here turns into a debate around the trailer, when it's coming, what they'll show etc.
It's like running in circles here.
To be fair, peeps here have exhausted every single topic of conversation with what little we've been given for nearly a year now (sans the potential accurate leak here and there). There's nothing new to talk about, so some discussions are bound to repeat themselves.I think there should be a separate trailer thread because somehow every discussion here turns into a debate around the trailer, when it's coming, what they'll show etc.

Refraining from disagreeing with GuestStar's viewpoints for the gazillionth time (shocking, I know ), I will say that the later the trailer comes out, the less of a "teaser" it will be.
